Dr. Armstrong really is a good teacher. She had a much different style of teacher than I'm used to, but if you put in the effort she will do whatever it takes to help you do your best. If you prefer lectures, she probably isn't the teacher for you, but she gives lots of practice work and helps you with it in and outside of class.

She does not like to lecture, but will spend time with you if you need extra help. It is similar to a flipped classroom and a lot of the work is dependent on you. She will respond to emails almost immediately. Definitely not a class to take for an easy A. She will help you if you put effort into learning the material. Try not to miss a class.

I took this class as a visiting student, and Dr. Armstrong tries to do a flipped classroom, but it's a chaotic mess. Often times I would just sit and talk to my group. Overall, the tests and quizzes were easy, especially compared to a University chemistry class. However, she can be rude and picks on certain students for little reason.

Everyone is definitely over exaggerating. She makes hereself available during office hours and is always willing to help. Her tests are reasonable and extremely similar to her study guides. She does run somewhat of a flipped classroom, so she lectures a little & then sends everyone into groups for team learning. You'll be fine with some effort

She is the most impatient "teacher" I have ever taken, and makes fun of you if you don't know the material that she doesn't even teach to you! She even admits that she hates to lecture...I'm sorry but if you hate to lecture then WHY DO YOU EVEN TEACH A LECTURE-BASED CLASS?!

To be honest, she is the worst professor I have ever taken. I have never encountered a professor as unwilling to help as she is. She puts everyone in Pogil groups and assigns work without lecturing. How are we suppose to teach each other if we don't comprehend the material ourselves? I do not recommend her to any one at all.

I took CHM151 and 152 with Dr. Armstrong and I think she is the best! I got an A in both courses...she was super patient with me and all my questions. She even emails on the weekend. Chemistry is hard and she expects you to do some learning on your own with the textbook and to do your homework.

Dr. Armstrong is really nice and connects with her students. She answers all your questions and is very understanding. However, if you have a hard time with science classes then it is pretty much a MUST to read the textbook along with attending class. If you miss a day it is horrid. Although I love her as a teacher, she isn't very clear at times.
