Very organized and professional. Lectures clear and explains things well. Passionate about the subject. Very interesting lectures, many pictures and videos. Continuously goes over the class schedule. Provides exam review sheets. Slightly harsh on papers. Weekly quiz questions are simple, does not try to trick anyone. He is a very good professor.

Great class. He's very clear on his standards. Just show up to class, take the notes, read the textbook, and you'll do fine on the tests. He even posts a review sheet with the map that'll be in the test on Blackboard. With a little effort, you'll leave with an A+.

On day one ask him for a style guide to writing. He will assign papers and he will mark them up very harshly, HOWEVER he is very kind in his grading. He wants you to do your very best and that lovely river of blood on your paper is advice, not points off. You'd never survive if he took points off for stylistic or grammar mistakes.

Loved him, extremely passionate about his teaching. Not out to punish you as a student, seriously there to try and help you the student and give you some awesome lessons. I loved him for world civ. Looks like the police officer terminator from terminator 2 too. His teachings are literally his life. He wants to give you the best grade you can get.

Loved him, showing up for class and paying attention was necessary but as long as you do you'll score well. No papers, so all that is for a grade is attendance and exams. Extremely knowledgeable and loves the subject. I'd 100% take a class again with him.

Professor Lazich is fantastic. You get the sense that he truly cares about his students and the level of knowledge he possesses is remarkable. Lectures can tend to be a little overwhelming at times because of all the information coming at once, but overall it's a very worthwhile class to take. His tests are difficult but the curve will save you!!

I was fascinated by the class and enjoyed reading the material but no matter how much I studied and how many flashcards made I got just below a B. He expects you to really memorize and focus on locations on the maps he shows on his powerpoint and even provides study guides for his exams but still some of the questions are unclear and tough.

Attendance was counted as a test grade and my perfect attendance SAVED me when my final grades came! All the notes are online along with a study guide and maps where you locate cities. He basically gives you everything for an A in the class. Quizlet saved my life (went from a 67 to 98). Look for the class on Quizlet for flashcards!

read assignments asap, he tests on it next class. dont be intimidated by maps, just keep track of landmarks like nearby rivers and what side of the country they're on. my only problem was he has a voice like a soothing Dean Martin Christmas Special, for the 1st time ever i was falling asleep while writing and woke up to loops across the pages

Professor Lazich is a very tough grader. Although his lectures a very clear and present with information from the test. The first exam will be your rude awakening. However by the time the end of the semester you will learn his testing methods. Also study maps, if you are not good with geography you might want to find someone else.

prof. Lazich is a FANTASTIC prof. His tests are not any more difficult than any other class. He gives you "cheat sheets" to study on what will be on the exam.. if you just pay attention to him you will learn so much! i was dreading this class when i signed up for it but ended up LOVING it. He is a great guy, and curves grades to help the students.

He is a very intelligent historian! BUT he is a horrible teacher!! PowerPoint and maps are the layout of his class. Its very boring and he doesn't make a effort to make it interesting, He gives study guides but his tests were still really hard! If you are not good with geography don't take this class he loves map questions on tests!

He is extremely clear and helpful. He expects a lot from his students; especially history majors. Read the book before class, there's a quiz each week and study well for the exam - you'll be fine. Very interesting class with very worldly man. I can listen to this guy talk all day.

Print out notes and when he further discusses them take notes because you have to discuss them on test but he gives options. Pay attention to locations a map is on the test. Overall good class.
