I actually really liked Michael Matthews. He was a difficult marker but I ended up getting a B+ in his class.I think the reason so many people dislike him is because of his high expectations. We are in college people, it's not supposed to be easy!

I had Michael Matthews for two semesters (Canadian lit and Genocide lit) while in the GAS program. If you ever get this professor, be prepared for disappointment because this guy does not give A's. Every student in my program got either a D or C+ (he gave 1 student a B). Extremely hard marker. He emphisis themes on human nature and religion.

I had this professor for genocide literature. He is terrible. He seems like a nice guy, but when comes to marking he always likes to give people C+ C- or even D. It is very hard to get an A in his class. Everybody hates him ..

teacher is unclear about what he wants. very difficult to acheive good grades. went from a's to c's and this is with him reviewing the assignments before i handed them in.lots of boring class discussions on what a specific word means and why the author used it.i recommend to avoid this class, but as you probably are a GAS student, you have no choic
