Amazing professor! I highly recommend you take his course if you are an english major. If not, he is still stellar at teaching. You wont be able to slack in his class. He challenges you and ensures youre actually consuming what you are being taught. You will learn a lot about history as well in this class. Highly recommend Professor Suwak!

I took his class over the fall semester and he's hilarious! I got an A in his class and really worked for it. He's an amazing professor all around! Actually understood what was going on and learned new things.

I had Professor Suwak for ENG 1010 over the summer and 1020 in the fall. He was an amazing professor who genuinely cares about his students. He gives you ample opportunity to get good grades. He goes over material thoroughly, and has designated essay draft days. If you get an A or B in his class - you deserve it. Hes hilarious during lecture too!

Professor Suwak is a TREMENDOUS professor. It is true that he gives an in-depth critique of essays. But, it is not to berate or demean his students, it's for the student to take his feedback and improve. He is very clear about what he's looking for in each essay. Professor Suwak's class made me a stronger (academic) writer. I'm very grateful.

Professor Suwak is definitely NOT a professor that I would recommend to ANYONE. He is a very strict and harsh grader and we only had six grades in the whole course. Five of the grades consisted of 1,000 word essays which had a two-week time period in between them. My friends and family nor myself even understood what the directions were for essays

Professor Suwak was one of the best teachers I had at CSM. He graded solely on essays, but always provided opportunities to have your work proof read before you submitted it. A lot of people complain about the class being hard, but if show up and put in the work, its not bad at all. Overall, the guy is genuine and really cares about his students.

I took Mr. Suwak's class online and it was horrendous. He grades too harsh and doesn't give specific instructions. He makes up criteria and topics as he grades that wasn't in the instructions. He'll look at your draft tell you it's great then fail you. If you don't have his opinion on a topic he'll also fail you.

Be aware if u are not a strong writer u will get your feelings hurt in this class. There are only 5 essays in the class which mean only 5 grades. He is very helpful and funny in class, definitely attend all workshops he explains what he is looking for and also how he grades. He is heavy in constructive criticism but it has made me a better writer.

Suwak can TEACH. He knows how to engage his class and get results. He is passionate, friendly, and professional. Be prepared to read closely and often. The material is good, so its not a chore and he helps to translate it (especially with the Shakespeare). Easily one of the best classes Ive taken at CSM. Hes a gem.

This professor is so amazing. He is super funny and very caring. I don't think there is possibly a more interesting way to explain literature. He is super accessible outside of the classroom. I will admit he can be a tough grader, but every grade felt very fair. I don't think you'll regret taking him at all.

I took Professor Suwak's class a few years ago, and I am so thankful I did! I have aced every paper I have written since his class. This class is not for the weak and sensitive though. He gives brutal critiques! Overall, it was one of my favorite classes. Hard, but worthwhile.

Suwak is a dope teacher. He does grade hard but as long as you do the research you are golden. A lot of times he allows you to show your essay or draft early to get feedback before its actually due and that helped me a lot. He is eccentric but loveably so. He is understanding and knowledgeable if you take advantage of the opportunities given.

Awesome, awesome professor. Only 5 grades for the whole course, which are all essays. However, he offers ample time for review and feedback, which helps immensely. Really learned a lot from his class. Also, he's a hilarious guy. Very relatable and funny. Definitely recommend his class and will take him again if given the chance.

I just had Professor Suwak for 1010, during the January semester. He is an amazing teacher, fair grader and is VERY helpful with everything! He is very funny and makes everything in class relatable. 10/10 would take one of his classes again!
