Generally a nice lady until you hit some of her nerves i.e. slamming the door when leaving, using cell phones in class, etc. The films that she showed for screening are quite interesting and the group projects that she assigns are fun, creative ways to get an easy A.

She knows her stuff, but she spends a large portion of class trying to figure out how to use Powerpoint. She shows interesting movies and the class is easy enough if you attend lecture/screenings. Has some unreasonable expectations (printing out readings every week), but grades fairly.

Most annoying MCS professor at UCR...mean-spirited, assigns way too much reading and projects/papers for a lower-division class, doesn't really know her stuff, most irritating voice in the world...avoid at all costs. It's a shame cause I was looking forward to this class...

Terrible! She talks way too much and doesn't let one get into the film that is being watched. She is nit-picky about being late and fusses when things don't go her way. Her fashion sense is horrible and I don't learn anything. Going to class is a chore. She took a fantastic class (food in film) and made it dreadful.

Hey! i had this teacher for 2years and shes crazy. She has some weird mood swings and if she does not like you it will affect your grade. She takes it to the personal level. Could be very rude... if you dont have to take her class avoid her !!

An all-around awful professor. The vast majority of this course is common sense and reading; if you're looking to learn anything about film, look elsewhere. Movie selections were quite good, but the professor herself is a conceited bore.

Sorry to say that this professor pretty much sucks. I found her class to be extremely boring and non-informative. As far as help...well you can just forget it! She rarely takes the time out to meet with her students outside of her office hours. To sum it up, any class you dread going to is simply not a good class.

Awful professor. I mean, I think you have to literally turn up **** out of your mind to attend her class. She never tries to focus on amazing authors like Victor Hugo, Dumas, but instead tries her crappy fairy tale rubbish. Absolutely awful, and by the way, she speaks VERY bad french.

She's a great professor, and a wonderful resource for information. She's very intelligent. Her voice is "unique," but once you get past that, she's awesome. She is incredibly savvy and teaches in a very lucid manner. I'll take her classes as many times as I can while I'm here at riverside.

This professor is truly incompetent. She speaks French with an awful accent and grammatical mistakes ( especially for someone who has been in academia for a while ). She is furthermore quite confused about teaching, and look out if you speak French almost like a native! She'll feel threatened.

I've never had such a good French class. She had a way of picking out exactly where I was having trouble and giving me perfect comments on my papers. Plus, she's just a really nice person who loves what she does and wants to help others love it too. (BTW: Only boring people get bored.)
