Mary Elizabeth Cunningham, or Mickey, is the worst teacher I have ever had. I really do not know if I can even call her a teacher because she is terrible. She is very opinionated and if you do not agree with her, she will grade you worse because of it. For an entry level writing class, she assigns 8 books and multiple papers and articles.

Mickey was fun, but she was still a tough grader, especially on our papers. There was a lot of reading, and not only novels but articles too. I was not impressed by how much time we had to put in for this one class.

Mickey is a very tough grader. She expects you to read a full book and write a full paper in a matter of 3 weeks. After you write the paper she rips it to shreds and down grades you at least a full letter grade. She is a nice person that is easy to talk to but her class is way difficult for a freshman introductory writing class.

Mickey is a very nice and sweet person, so naturally I thought my FYS would be easy. I was wrong. She is the hardest grader I have ever met. She has strong opinions and if you do not write what she thinks, you will not do well. It was my hardest class and I was not impressed.

I thought that she was a lovely teacher. She definitely has strong opinions, which some people may not like, but I thought she was very interesting to talk to. She is a tough grader, but only because she is determined to make each of her students better writers. You have to work hard in the class, but if you do, you will do just fine. :)

I'll admit that Mickey can get to be boring sometimes and that I got SICK of Ireland. However, the course is Irish Voices. My opinion is that she is just passionate about what she teaches. I also thought she was the easiest grader ever. If you don't like her, then it just means that you're not as great as you thought you were!

I think a few of these comments were a bit harsh...While Mickey can be a tough grader, she truly cares about each person in the class & their opinions. My advice is to get to know her outide of class- she is very helpful then when I need it, & she is a very caring & motivating person. She will help your writing skills immensely!

I am a pretty good writer, and I thought Mickey was especially hard. She came right out and scared me with a plagerism incident. I didn't even know much about it. She was way harsh, and she seems to be overly critical. Further more, I thought she turned me off from writing. NOT "my kinda woman." I would not sign up for her core subject again.

Okay, Okay... there are many different opinions out there about Mickey (most of them bad), but I honestly enjoyed her class and like the woman very much. If you're a terrible writer yeah, then she's tough! But if you learn to write a d*mn thesis statement, you won't have any problems. She's crazy, she's interesting and she's Irish. My kinda woman!

I thought she was very easy. She's always willing to work with you if you need help. She even let me redo a paper. I'll admit her class is boring, but that's more the school's fault than hers. Just be ready to work on writing skills, which are very important!
