Miyoko Sensei is the best professor I've ever had. She is very nice, understanding, and greatly cares about the students' learning and understanding. She gives very helpful ways to remember grammar rules/vocab etc. She's such a fun and lovable teacher and makes the class so amazing and fun to learn as well.

She is one of my favorite teachers and people of all time. She actually cares about all of her students and goes way out of her way to help you. She loves teaching and makes learning Japanese fun, easy and interesting. She has Japanese club and study group outside of the class as well. Best teacher ever.

I took 2 courses with M. Dlckerson years ago and her teaching has stuck with me since. I think many students will agree that she has a lasting impression. She still remembers my name when we pass in the hall. The intimidating coursework turned so effortless because it was so fun. A hobby more than a class, truly. (intereststudying! Work hard.)

Sensei is always there for you. She will make time for you to help you study. If you are having difficulties in her class, just talk to her. She will do whatever it takes to help. She has a Japanese Club & Study Session every week. Club is on Thursday, & Study Session is on Friday. If you still need help just ask if she has additional time to help.

Does the Japanese language interest you in any way, shape, or form? If you said yes, actually, even if you said no, take Japanese with Mrs. D! She's kind, friendly, laughs a lot and will help with whatever you're struggling with, if you even need it. Learning a new language is difficult regardless of the setting, but she makes it feel worthwhile!

She is easily my favorite professor I've ever had in my life. She is the sweetest woman I have ever met, I don't know anyone who would say different. She loves not only her students, but her job and it really shows. For the class, you have to be willing to learn the 2 alphabets quickly, but with her it's not hard. Take her if you can, you'll pass.

Awesome Sensei! I took once with another professor and did not get much, but when I retook it with Miyoko Sensei everything was easier to understand! She made sure you got it even if she had to make up a song for you to understand better!

Miyoko Sensei is the best teacher I have ever had. She offers to study with students outside of class one-on-one. JPN-111 is easy, although one must learn a new 46 character alphabet. Each class level will focus on 3 chapters from the textbook: Genki. She is a native Japanese speaker, it might time a few days to get used to the accent, maybe.

I've had her for four semesters and she is absolutely amazing! By far the best (and easiest) prof I have ever had! She will bend over backwards to make sure you get a good grade. She is adorable and always smiling. To many students, she is not only a teacher, but also a wonderful friend. TAKE HER CLASSES!!!

Very fair and incredibly helpful and caring for her students. I've taken Japanese with her since the very first semester. Believes firmly in the "No One Left Behind" mindset. Offers a multitude of tutors and outside of class help if needed. Loves to bring the japanese culture to class with sushi parties among other things. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Miyoko sensei is the cutest lady! She is so sweet, and she's willing to help you as much as you want. If you are willing to work a bit, you will do just fine in her class. She really explains things nicely, and has a lot of useful information about everything you learn.

I took this class over summer. So, I had to attend 4 days a week. She was very helpful, nice and fair. I think class like this is much better with regular semester since you can take your time to work on homework. You have to do a lot of work since this is a language class. But, it was fun and I actually learned a lot.
