Comment:
This class feels like a giant step backwards from ISAM4331 which is the Intro version. You are using Dreamweaver with embedded styling & Access databases with gridcontrol wizards. JavaScript & ASP was hardly taught instead we just re-used previous code from instructor. This class feels a decade backwards in structure, material and overall useless.

4331-we learn HTML5 and separating CSS and script files. 4332-all of that doesn't matter evidently. Dreamweaver is used with embedded styles. Everything is taught the "easy way" rather than the way actual businesses do the work. Someone with more modern knowledge should teach this class. 4332 should be an extension of what was learned in 4331.

Syllabus changes weekly. If you've never programmed, you will struggle, as he blows through in-class work faster than most can keep up. Go online and find an introduction to programming video and THEN take the course. He's often difficult to understand and talks to himself sometimes, making it worse. For those who can keep up, class is fine.

Dr. Rob is a nice man; however, his teaching style is left to be desired. Very vague in explanation of material and disoriented during lecture. You're better off reading the textbook, working the programming problems, and teaching yourself. He'll help you when needed other than that you're on your own.

Disorienting lectures, shows up 15+ minutes late every class, but lets you out early alot. The subject material is easy, but his lack of planning/care is evident when you half the class gets lost multiple times as he does a visual studio demo. Tests are multiple choice, read chapters and ppts and youll do okay. Unpleasant experience at best.

Dr. Rob is not the greatest of all lecturers but does adequate enough of a job. At least he is not a mission to make you regret that you ever took MIS as a major. You will need to buy the book (which is really good), work through all the recommended material because the book is your real instructor. Has 3 exams & homework. I will recommend him.

Professor Rob's practical approach to teaching is to rather show how it is done than follow the codes in the book. It is also highly recommended to read the book for advance learning. Weekly submissions of assignments are mandatory. No quizzes are given for each class.

Take neg comments with a grain of salt. Make sure to READ THE DARN BOOK! It's actually a nice book and there is a student resource also. That said, prepare for class. Dr. Rob will not spoon-feed it to you, he is going to get busy on projects when class starts lol. He's super cute - "WHO's CLICKING?!?!". Make sure to sign in for attendance! 3

This course had weekly assignments, 2 group presentations, and almost 1/2 of the assignments were group case studies. Like all group courses. If you're in a good group its fine. Study, read the textbook, and great course

Dr. Rob doesn't do a great job of explaining the course material. The amount of work load given is not difficult. We would go to the lab during class and do our homework, so I hardly had to do work outside of class.

Can barely understand this professor, does not teach anything. You have a big group project with no instructions, you have to create a webpage using his old school format but again no instructions. Doesn't teach you access or excel, teach yourself through hmwk. 2 tests are easy, questions come straight from review. Don't expect to understand him!

Worst prof ever. Did not know current VB well, was unprepared for lectures, did not really answer questions. If you read the textbook and can teach yourself you can get a good grade though. Begin to work with your team early for group project. Good Luck!

He's not a very good teacher, in my opinion. He changes the syllabus very often and doesn't actually teach anything. He assigns a big group project, but never actually gives out directions. He expects you to figure everything out on your own. I don't recommend this teacher.

I was really upset with this class. He doesn't teach at all about the application programs, access and excel. You totally have to learn it through thee most boring workbook. He is constantly changing the syllabus including how much the tests and other things are woth . It is ridiculous. He is very nice and funny but doesnt teach a darn thing, and w

Does not teach a single thing with clarity. Lots of work ? questions from book, presentations, documentation, research papers etc to lighten up his work of teaching. No case study discussed in class whatsoever. Gives silly remarks during presentations that are contradictory to book's teachings.

He gives a lot of assignments, but he's very flexible & helpful. He believes that you learn by doing. He gives you some guidance then he leaves you to discover on your own. This method doesn't work for everyone. If you need structure, he may not be for you. Show willingness and interest in learning and you'll be fine.
