Comment:
Her directions are unclear, especially for the group project. She expects you to answer short answer questions up to at least 300 words sometimes. It could get frustrating. All in all, the class was decent. You could get a good grade and learn a lot from the readings. I didn't learn much from her lectures, but i learned more from reading.

Prof Lam is not that bad! For this course, you are required to write a reflection and response every week, easy points. One required exam over 8 chapters, but the questions are not hard at all! You will know if you take her for MIS101. And one group project, which is not too bad...

She has a thick accent so that alone makes it harder to listen/pay attention. All groups got 100% on our first project/presentation and then the second project/presentation we were ranked with the best team getting an A, second a B, and so on. Totally unexpected and we couldn't even meet with her about it after she graded. She should have told us.

I could not agree with the horrible comments about this professor more. She should be ashamed at the lack of effort she puts into her job. Her assignments are unclear and worst they are more busy work then educating. Her ONE test covers nine chapters and is only twenty questions! Our class is on the verge of a mutiny. Worst professor I've ever had.

If you have never had any prior experience with Accounting Software Systems like myself, keeping close communication with her is important. Some assignments were TOUGH but she graded easy if you were on the right track. Its a very hands-on course and you will learn A LOT but you will have to work hard to pass. Doable.

Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible teacher. HORRIBLE. If there is any way you can avoid, DO! If not, if I were to take this course over, I would recommend just using all of the tools she provides then just barraging her with questions. Force her to teach you, because she isn't going to otherwise.

horrible horrible horrible. tests are extremely hard, lectures are absolutely worthless, homework is not clear, she gives a little review sheet for each exam, but it is completely worthless. she says look over the slides to study for the exam, but there are like 1000 slides! DO NOT TAKE HER! WORST CLASS AT CSUS AS OF YET!

Honestly one of the worst professors I've had at Sac State. She is extremely difficult to understand, doesn't explain anything, and keeps blowing through material even when the class has no idea what's going on. The class average on the first exam was a 68% and she didn't curve or express ANY concern. I would highly advise against taking her class.

It's kind of bad when the class verbally attacks her about making a better study guide and she refuses to listen. She doesn't answer your questions, she reads directly from the PP slides, which she took from the textbooks website! The quizzes are online, pretty easy, but tests are hard! If you want to learn, DO NOT TAKE HER! WASTE OF YOUR TIME!

Extrememly hard to understand and reads directly from the slides. Lots of work! HARD tests. Requires a project and first group has one weekk to put it together before it's due. Doesn't explain why she grades you down on homework either. Just puts dots next to paragraphs. Redeeming quality is Cumulative Final is 100% extra credit!

This professor is worse than the MIS 150 professor. You are basically on your own. The tests are insane difficulty level. Her quiz average is 2/5. The homework assignments are easy. The exercises are also easy. She cannot speak English. She will not help in office hours. Even the A kids were like "are we going to get an A in this class". Avoid

The material she teaches is pretty challenging but the kicker is her accent. I am pretty keen on being able to understand ESL individuals but teaching an upper division course and barely being able to comprehend her English is out of the question. Please for your sake do not take this teacher.

One of my most difficult teachers. I've been forced to take her class multiple times. Many of her problems stem from her uneasiness with English. She has great problems explaining concepts and often leaves the homework to do the teaching for you. I've discussed all this with her before and she's quite aware. I would recommend avoiding her classes
