Comment:
Dr. Hunt should not be allowed in the classroom... with undergraduate or graduate students. I imagine she is a decent scholar and researcher, but she would benefit greatly from interpersonal skills training.

Comment:
Dr. Hunt may be disorganized, but she's passionate, smart, and extremely helpful outside of class. If you're willing to work, she's willing to go above and beyond to help (nothing will be sugar coated, but honestly, that would be less helpful).

Comment:
Dr. Hunt is always unorganized and rude to the GSI. Her lectures are hard to follow and do not relate to the exams. There is an immense amount of reading and she expects you to know all of it. She is an extremely intelligent and passionate professor but she does not know how to teach college students nor be relatable.

Comment:
This course should have prerequisites. There's a lot going on, and there are many things that you are expected to know. Dr. Hunt started out really disorganized, but asked for feedback and took our opinions into account. Kudos for her. Interesting class, and not too hard if you read (~50/week). Participate, ask questions, and you'll be fine!

I feel she gets a lot of bad rap for being disorganized, which she is, but she really knows her stuff and is extremely passionate about it. She also encourages input on how to make her lecture more clear and tries her best to do what students suggest. I would take more of her classes, just be prepared to ask for clarification & use office hours!

Comment:
She is very frazzled and disorganized, but really nice and very passionate about what she teaches. She is very into creativity and there was a final project plus a couple short papers and two pretty easy exams. Just go to lecture or read the book and go to discussion and the class is easy.

Comment:
She is probably a great researcher outside the class because she has passion and knowledge about her field, but she fails as a professor. She is extremely unorganized and hard to follow. She tries to make the course work "creative" but it ends up making the material confusing and discontinuous.

Comment:
The last comment couldn't be truer. Hunt comes to class late and unprepared, and her lectures are so confusing that I gave up trying to understand where she was coming from. There was so much reading that she neither discussed nor included on the quizzes. An additional note: sit in the back if you don't want to get hit with the laser pointer...

For the sake of your sanity, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on this class. She is impossible to understand, extremely disorganized, and rude. I learned more from Wikipedia before the exams than I ever learned in lecture or the books. As much as the topic is interesting, the class isn't worth your money or time.

Though I assume she was a compassionate lady outside of class and this course was an easy A for me... Nancy Hunt is absolutely incapable of being an enjoyable/effective/interesting professor.
