Comment:

Beware of Final exam! The conceptual questions are much more difficult on the final than on the midterms. He gave us 2 opps. to earn EC that could bump course grade by 4% and let us use full size cheat sheets that we could put ANYTHING on it and 3 sheets for final including fully solved problems. In that regard he was very fair.

Not a great teacher. Required to purchase online McGraw Hill textbook, but only do one question a week for assignments. Great teacher for procrastination, horrible for learning. Lectures are extremely boring and hard to follow. Study guides consist of a bullet point for each chapter. Exam materials do not coincide with class. 3 cheat sheet pages.

Really really bad teacher. Can't sit through his class without wanting to die. Exams do not coincide with in class material, and there's no effective way to study. On top of that, the book used in the class is organized terribly which makes learning even harder.

He is super funny, but pretty boring lectures. He makes the class super easy. On the exams you get 1 full sheet of paper for notes/examples. On the final you get 3 sheets of paper. Connect is easy, short and quick. Take this class with this professor!

Great Class! The professor makes you work for it but he also gives you a cheat sheet. To do good in the class write down evrything he says in class . I took the class in the summer time and it was hard we had review of 3 chapters one week and a test on the three chpaters the next. Learned alot!!

This man knows his stuff. Classes are repetitive, lecture and example problems. Other than that there are is case work AKA homework almost on a weekly basis. He does a good job at explaining his material and provides decent study guides for exams. I also enjoy his dry wit, i never thought such a monotonous voice could make me laugh

HERE IS WHAT YOU DO FOR AN EASY A: He lets you use a full piece of notebook paper front and back on tests. Copy down every problem he puts on the board, in lecture, and in homework. On the other side put down all terms, definitions, and equations that are NECESSARY. Homework is simple. Go to every class and do all that and exams are a breeze.

I took the hybrid course for BUS 1750 with Professor Arugaslan, whom was very straightforward. For each class you show up, summarize articles, do group work, and take a quiz and/or exam. If you do the reading then you will pass no problem with an A. I am pretty sure he grades all in-class work based on completion, I never received lower than 100%.

Great professor. Attendance matters, you get credit for your attendance and the quiz questions he asks during class as bonus points toward your grade. Not a lot of homework at all. Tests are conceptual and actual problems. I definitely would recommend taking Finance with him.

His class is kind of boring but if you follow along and write down everything he does its really easy. You get to make cheat sheet for the exams. Put everything on it definitions, powerpoint problems and problems he does on the board. My cheat sheet was single spaced 8 pt font and I had page front and back and never got less than 95%.

Professor was awesome, despite being so monotone I thought the class was very interesting and applicable. I kept thinking he would make a great Bond villain. You get a formula sheet on exams that you can put ANYTHING on, I forgot mine and got a high B brought it for the next and got a 100... I'd say go with Onur

Comment:

Teaches directly off power point slides that he posts on elearning at beginning of semester. Go to class and copy down all problems he does in class. Problems in class will be VERY similar to ones on tests. Cheat sheet allowed on tests. Very little homework. Attendance not mandatory but helpful.

Syllabus has list of 4 acceptable financial calculators, only teaches you how to use two of the models with heavy emphasis on one model. Would've been nice to know BEFORE I bought and opened mine and went to the lecture on how to program THE WRONG CALC. 1st exam is ridiculously hard but the rest are alright. Must buy book and ASK WHICH CALC TO BUY!

Nice guy with a dry sense of humor but over estimates students ability to understand material. Found myself attempting to figure things out in class while he was already on to another topic. Very frustrating. He does grade fairly but you NEED to study a LOT!!!

I would def. recommend him for finance. He goes over everything very well and makes sure you know what you need to know for the tests. He does problems in class that help a TON!!! Barely any homework or work in general. Best finance teacher out there. He tries his best to make the class interesting.

Onur is the best! Such a good guy and genuinely wants you to learn! Makes everything crystal clear and outlines everything so you know exactly what will be on the test. I am not good at finance and I'm getting an A! Onur is HIGHLY recommended!!

He's definitely a weird guy, but can be kind of funny. It's definitely possible to get an A in his class. GO TO CLASS, write down ALL the problems he does. these are whats on his exams. if you dont go to class and just use the slides, you probably wont pass.
