Professor Miller is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is passionate about his work and is extremely encouraging. He gives great feedback on papers. As long as you do the reading and hand-in all your written assignments you'll get an A. I wish all my professors were like him!

He's a good professor. Knows his history. It is tough to sit through his lectures but if you read the material and show up to class, you'll get an easy A-B. His midterm and final are written essays but they're easy if you read. His essays throughout the semester are also easy.

Professor Miller is honestly one of the best Northeastern has to offer. He is not only my favorite, but also one of the best I've ever had. When taking his class it requires a lot of reading and note taking, but trust me it pays off when it comes to essay's and especially the written tests. In summery, I highly suggest him for a history course.

He is an okay professor. He seems to be really into history. There are multiple chapter assignments that are usually 3-5 pages long, plus 2 or more essays. The tests are all essays so you really need to know your stuff. His grading can be a bit confusing with the IDs but other than that it was an okay class. Kind of boring if you are not into it.

Gets off topic quite a bit- so some information is lost in his presentations. Lacks technology skills, and can waste up to 30 minutes of class time getting tech devices to work. He has a deep and plentiful knowledge of topics- but lectures wonder in several directions. Be on time and ready to participate. Papers and essay exams. Do the reading.

Come to class every time and do the readings. He is available for help or you can see the assigned tutor to the class. The quiz, midterm, and final, are written exams. The lectures can be boring. Overall, show up and put some effort into your work and you'll be fine.

I took Miller in a WIP class, and it was literally the least amount of writing i've ever done in a 300 level class. 1 paper at the end, which was based on one book, and was basically a book review. His lectures are confusing and airy. all interesting content is from readings. take for easy A

Took his History 215 class. It was not that bad. Do the readings, see him or the tutor for help. Lectures can be tough to sit through but it's not the worst. Attendance does count. 1 quiz, paper, midterm, and final. Basically do the work, and go to class, and you'll be fine

WIP Course-- Abolitionism in the US. History 392 is a topics course, so the class topic changes month to month. We had a incidental writing assignments, no graded, a mid-term and a final paper. You must attend class He is a fairly tough grader, but not bad. Miller is great. Highly Recommend. Received an A

Overall he is a interesting teacher. Quizzes are not too easy, does not provide any specific study guide. No tests or exams, just 10 (2 pages) article responses, an ethnography (on a short book), and a final research essay. Class is very interesting and challenges you to think about certain topics unbiased.

Simple class. Do all the assignments on time and show up to class. He lectures a lot which put me to sleep the first few weeks, then I invested in some redbull. Other than that decent class, gets better after you start talking about the 60s to present. (Midterm, quiz, and final are in essay form)

Actually, I never had this professor, but have seen him on numerous times for adivse. I do hear wonderful things about him. From personal experience, I find him very open, always willing to help out and his door is always OPEN, not like some professors, or dept. chairmen. He has an awesome attitude, and he's a cutie - yes he is!!

A great teacher and very fair when it comes to grading and turning in assignments. A lot of reading and expects a lot out of you, but hey what do you expect from a Graduate readings course?
