Sometimes class can be boring because he just lectures the whole time but it is nice because he gives you notes to print off beforehand and you just fill in the blanks. Go to class though, nothing is online. READ THE BOOK AND DO THE NOTES!!! It is a big part of the tests and he gives out extra credit a lot so just do it and it will help. Good class

Paul is by far my favorite professor at WMU, he is very charismatic and brings fun to the topic of sociology. Through his southern accent you feel the genuine care for his students and the process of teaching the material.

This class is pretty easy if you work a bit. There are 2 papers and 4 exams. Make sure you know the material well and can give examples of the topics. There is extra credit after every chapter. Attendance isn't taken, but there is some in class work sometimes.

This professor is a good guy. He knows what he is talking about when he lectures. His study guides do not go along with the test though, you have to read the textbook as well or else you will fail the exams. If you aren't the best test taker, then I would suggest taking this course with someone else. He is funny & approachable. I did not mind him.

A pretty good professor, can be rather boring, but knows his stuff. Is easy to talk to and encourages class discussion and questions. You will write a LOT in his class, mid-terms and finals are take home. If you don't mind writing, I would highly suggest taking his class.

Not a bad instructor, not extremely interesting but he is a nice guy and full of information on the subject. Attendance was not mandatory but there were daily quizes/point opportunities. He gives a lot of extra credit, the exams require a good amount of preparation, overall not a bad professor.

The lectures were extremely boring but talking about other countries for two hours straight is difficult to make interesting. If you study the notes and the study guide and do the practice tests the exams aren't terrible. Lots of extra credit which is awesome if you do bad on the exams

Really good instructor. Dr. Ciccantell wants his students to succeed and provides study guides and sample tests prior to each exam. As long as you pay attention to his study guides you'll have no problem in his classes. Lots of extra credit opportunities. I wasn't sure about him after reading some of these reviews but now I think he's great.

Tests are extremely difficult, and lecture is pretty boring...but he really is a good teacher and tries his best to help you in whatever way he can. I wouldn't suggest this class if you aren't very interested in the material, but otherwise it's not terrible.

This instructor is horrible, he is very arrogant, and difficult to understand. Test questions are ment to be tricky, but if you know that you will be fine. Lecture was horrible. I think I would rather get teeth pulled than sit through this class

One of the best professors at WMU. Very helpful and wants his students to succeed. He is very fair and FULL of knowledge. The class was not necessarily difficult but be prepared to do A LOT of writing and reading. (I wrote about 65 pages in total) As long as you work hard you will do fine. I got an A in the class.

all he does is lecture for 2 hours and he has a horrible accent. He has 2 papers through out the semester and you have to have way to many resources than needed for the paper. His tests are a little tricky he loves the word except and tries to trick you. He is a somewhat easy grader though and gives a lot of extra credit.

this class was not bad at all. expects you to attend, but if you e-mail him and tell him you've been suffering from some horrible sickness he generally is pretty good at helping you out..really seemed to want his students to succeed. boring to listen too, but if you put in a little effort, he'll help you out.didn't even buy the book or coursepack

The class itself is easy but you have to actually go if you want to do well. The writing assignments are a bit ridiculous, way too many sources required. Tests can be hard and study guides for the readings aren't very helpful considering there are a hundred terms for maybe 10 questions on the test...
