Comment:

Estuarine Ecology is the hardest class I've ever taken. I think Dr. Gracay is a great professor, but he does not explain things very well and you may have to ask more than once for clarification. I went in with no chemistry, studied like crazy, and still passed. This is a serious 400 level class!

On here for the first time...DO NOT TAKE HIM! I was so excited about ecology but his class was useless. When you ask for help he will give you some run of the mill answer that will just frustrate you. Grades are not known until the end of the semester and if you ask him he seems annoyed. Tests are poorly made. Very disappointed.

He is a nice guy and is considerate with your grading, but his tests are very hard, but he goes over them sometimes your grade will improve because of it. He is sometimes unclear in lecture and in lab all you do is watch movies basically, it takes longer to get there and your out of lab really early. Nice pro. but hard and unclear.

Nice guy. Class is pretty easy. Tests are all multiple choice/fill in the blank, and all the questions pretty much repeat themselves. Easy to get an A, but he is very hard to get ahold of if you have a question. Answers emails like a month after you send them, and doesn't tell you his office hours, not that he's ever in the office to begin with...

I have Dr. Grecay for Biol 310 and Biol 418. He's a pretty easy going guy. Sometimes he would talk about his old college days in class which was kinda funny. Tests aren't that bad.His seminar class is different. Attendance is required; grades subjective. Present well and you will do fine.

For Anatomy and Phys. I, he isn't as bad as some people make him out to be. Don't get me wrong, some of his tests were kinda tough (try memorizing nearly every bone and other major skeletal terms for a describing exam), but others were pretty easy (multiple choice). He doesn't lead you by the hand, so you have to make the motion for help

Nice man, but dont get him for a lab, he doesnt really teach or do anything for that matter..but he lets you out really early every time! His tests are difficult but managable with LOTS of studying..not the best, but not the worst either..

Gosh guys he's not that bad! Sure lab quizzes were hard but he worked with us to make up for our horrible grades. His tests were great, sometimes we didn't even have to study! Don't be so hard on the guy... it will just make him mad and horrible for his next students!

Comment:

Being in his class is like being in a computer lab. He refers you to your book and your computer, and he just seats at the frond table to make sure that you are in lab. If you’re really not into Bio, this lack of teaching and the unsupervised computer work could lead you into failing the lab.
