He is the best professor I've ever taken. I wake up in the morning ecstatic just to go to his class and listen to his enlightening lectures. He did say he would not help us with homework problems but he actually does. He's a real tsundere uwu He might seem cold at first but once you get to know him, you'll realize that he is a very warm and caring

The exams are extremely difficult, but the professor does his best to make sure you're prepared for them. If you do the homework, the extra credit, and work through problems you can do well.

Professor Hor is very hard to understand in his lectures. Bonus given for attending class. You will definitely have to do some self learning with book or tutor. However, I took him twice because he has a lenient grade scale and curves. Tests are all multiple choice. It's hard to get an A, B is very possible, C is easy with little effort.

Comment:
The most unclear lectures ever created. UoH is known for its weak physics department and this is no exception. You will constantly find yourself confused in the middle of his lectures wondering what is going on and then copy down the formula at the end of the derivation. Avoid if possible.

He kind of gets a bad rap, but I actually found him to be decent. His tests are not impossible, and he's rather reasonable with grades. Pretty generous bonus opportunities as well.

HORrible, can't lecture, uses chalkboards and writes small and not always legible. does not speak up in a mid sized auditorium. did say he would not help us with homework problems. unclear lectures, doesn't follow the book, hard to understand audibly as well. horrible.

Worst teacher. I've taken Physics before with awesome professors but this guy was terrible in every sense. He also told us literally that he can not and will not help us with any questions.

I personally dont understand what people have against him. Out of all the university physics professors, I would say he is the best. He doesn't teach straight from the book and go along slides like most teachers do, he actually writes as he goes along, making note-taking a lot more useful (believe me). His tests are not very difficult at all!

One of the worst professors I've ever had. Very confusing in his lectures. He'll use only a single chalk board and scribbles everything he writes on the board. He lectures mostly while writing facing the board. You don't get a chance to take a lot of the notes because he'll end up moving on right after or erasing the information or you can't read it because it's like a 5 year old scribbled on the board. I heard just about all the cal based physics profs are like this at UH. Really pitiful.

Performance in this class will depend on the student's hard work (or lack thereof.) Out of all professors to take University Physics I from at UH, he is the best. Do the homework religiously and learn (not memorize) concepts. He will loose you in class unless you are a physics wiz anyways. Go to the physics tutoring lab and you can get an A. : )

he is hard but not that hard compare to other professor, he does try to explain to you about physic, everything! but it just that we are not smart. i take me several time to understand the concept. tests are not that hard if you study. And a Big curve!!!

Avoid him like the plague. Among hard-to-understand foreign professors, he is the worst. Frequently makes mistakes when doing equations on the board, confuses himself by using the same letter to denote different quantities, very difficult tests.

he taught Quantum physics. This is a very hard subject and at least he curves all of his grades. Watch out! he is not afraid to fail anyone.
