Great professor. Period. He's a real modern history/intelligence raconteur who allows opposing (but argued well) opinions and makes you feel like he cares. St. John is sincere in his approach and makes every class worth attending. I hated to miss a class because I knew he'd always have something worthwhile to note.

took the class with him a couple years ago. he is nice enough, no major complaints with that but he was clearly overworked and has 2 ta's for the course who were USELESS. never ONCE got a paper back on time. Almost ZERO feedback. his stories are fine and entertaining, but more organization was desperately needed.

Fantastic. The only professor I've ever encountered who is more interested in listening to his students rather than himself. Be warned-- he will bring out the slides, its just a matter of time. :D
