Excellent professor! Not everyone likes his sense of humor, but he is a very blunt guy who makes interesting comments and really keeps your attention. This was EASILY the best course I took in my MBA, and Rogers was hands down my favorite professor. I would HIGHLY recommend!

Comment:

Very difficult class but you will learn so much from real life examples. You will need to know some statistics and math but professor is great at explaining. Test are very hard but fair.

He's great for his knowledge. He makes classes very interesting. However he seems to be so proud of himself and try to make tests extremely hard. I recommend to take him but don't expect high grade.

Part-time MBA. Best course of my degree, and my job has nothing to do with statistics. Rogers comes off as a drinking buddy until he talks and shows he is a STAT savant. Take him, work hard and you will enjoy it. Slack off and you WILL FAIL. Don't listen to reviews telling you to find someone easier - MBA's aren't meant to be easy.

Comment:

I was completely uninterested in STAT before this class but Rogers teaches it in a way that actually makes you think about it outside of class. Very useful in the real world. Hard professor, very time consuming, hell of a sense of humor, but very worthwhile. If you want a good grade you will truly have to put in the hours and earn it.

Rogers is hard, no doubt about it. But so far its the best class I've taken in my MBA. I'm grateful he cares about whether or not I leave the class having learned something. That's what we are paying for. Highly suggest going to class, doing the HW and reading the book. He's strict, but that's what you need in a course like this.

If you don't have strong math skills this will be hard. But because the subject is hard not because the prof is. He does as good a job as most I think, maybe slightly better. Got me to think about things differently and isn't that the point of your MBA. He is the best you will get so jump in and DO THE HOMEOWRK! That's the key right there. GL.

I'm surprised he is teaching part time MBA classes. I took him a while ago and felt like he did not care about the fact that a student is also a full time employee. He requires extreme devotion to his class. I would suggest selecting another professor if you have the chance.

I don't like his class, coz he didnt teach anything about exams. I go to his class a few times a month. If u want to take his class, just study the notes and have a good stat knowledge. A lot of questions in the exam you cannot find in the book or notes. I hope this will help you.

He gives the tips to success the first day of class and repeats it over and over. pay attention to that and do it religiously. I got an A, first time taking the course. If you are lazy, hope your math and comp skills are good.

Strengths Dr. Rogers teaches the course heart and soul. He spends all three hours in speaking. And he often answers the question at midnight. Drawbacks There are many typos in the textbook. There are four exams (one is take-at-home exam). These tests are very tough. One multiple choice question can have more than 10 choices!!! I think that stude

He is a very tough professor when it comes to learning the material. But he loves teaching stats..I didnt do well in his course..but I passed, thats all that matters when it comes to stats. He is very understanding when it comes to missing an exam even though his exams arre tough. Just read ahead of class and study your material!
