Comment:

Professor Belak is a sweet prof but her exams are way harder than she makes them out to seem. She pleads how much she wasn't you to pass but will give you the practice exam and have it be completely different then the actual exam. Tough class, but if you like accounting then she seems like a good fit.

Comment:

If you go to class and understand the powerpoint slides and homework problems she gives you, you will easily succeed. She wants everyone to do well and is always willing to help. Graded by 4 exams for 88% of grade and online HW for the other 12%. The only hard exam was the final.

Comment:

For an online class, the pace of completion is very controlled. Each section of the class wasn't opened until a specific date, so completing the course at my own pace wasn't an option. Exams were 60% of the class and extremely difficult. Is not clear with instructions, so I was forced to contact her on a handful of occasions to clarify. Hard pass.

Nice lady she cares about her students and wants everyone in the class to succeed. she is accessible outside enough and she cannot stress that enough. if you pay attention take notes follow her powerpoints and ask for help you are golden

Very nice professor but TESTS ARE HARD. She goes over 3 or 4 chapters and basically tells you good luck. You have to study end of chapter questions, power points, and case studies, way to much to study for one test. She is also very boring when she talks. Would not recommend

Honestly she is not a good professor at all. She reads directly from the power point and barely explains anything. She takes her exam questions from the book on topics that were never taught in class. Does not explain the concepts on the power point at all. Not a good professor.

I loved her so I'm not sure why some people didn't yeah her lectures are boring but she explains everything and if you need help she will answer questions. I failed the first time i took this class then with her got an A. Would recommend.

Comment:

Took her for 202 in the summer. She didn't assign any homework, only grades in the class were tests. Described everything clearly and makes sure everyone understands. We used the textbook every day for practice problems. For an accelerated summer course she made it easy and you got the grade you earned.

This was an easy class because the tests are based on the outlines we go over in class and on the textbook. So if you take notes and study than you will be fine. Also, the case studies were not hard at all. Take her for this class.

Class is not the joke a lot of people make it out to be. Chapter quizzes will gouge your grade if you don't keep up on readings. Tests can be tricky. Doesn't give much homework. Professor Belak is a fair grader and makes an inherently dry subject semi-interesting. Take the course seriously and you'll be successful

Love her! You definitely need to study, but as long as you practice the problems from class, you'll be fine! She doesn't just read power points. You do problems from the book in class, and those really help, as well as problems on Connect for homework.

Not too fond of her teaching style. Just tell goes thru the slides and gives u 5 seconds to do try a problem then tells u the answer. No roll, hw on connect. Better know the format for everything or your gonna get a lot of points taken off!

I don't see how she can be considered a great professor. Everything came from the textbook. Anybody that read the book and found some videos online could "teach" the class the way she did. I agree with the "just for the paycheck" comment. Easy class though.

It's an easy class and she seems like a nice lady. However, she really comes off as doing it just for the paycheck. You sit there and watch youtube videos and silently read articles to yourself. All the exams are scantron/test bank/textbook based. I wish the guest speakers could have taught the class. It feels like a waste of $860.

Class isn't mandatory for major but I took it anyway and don't regret it. She was a great professor and class wasn't bad. Best part was the guest speaker from the FBI.
