I love Professor Miller. He is so sweet and kind. I love his stories; he has many of them. He is so willing to help, and he is a hard grader but it is only because he wants you to thrive. He is especially hard if he knows you are a talented writer. He does use all the textbooks but his class is manageable. He is comprehensive if you miss class too.

Randy's teaching method is to bore his class into a mind-numbing daze. Students are entirely inattentive and non-participatory. He wonders why no one contributes to his so-called class discussions? He goes on at lengths about his friend Pico Iyer and the countless articles that Pico has written.

Yes, I'll admit Randy could be a little dry at times, but he is the most kind hearted, well intentioned teacher I ever met. To shoot him down in any fashion is just wrong. He does so much for his class, he makes us feel like his equal rather than belittle us. Some teachers have a way of talking down to you, rather than with you. If you ever heard Randy speak of his students, it's with nothing but admiration and respect, I think we should do the same.
