She comes off tough and strict, but that's not the reality. Just show up to class & write the papers & you'll pass. She's easily available for feedback as long as you have SPECIFIC questions for her. Don't approach her with a full paper and ask her to read it over. Provide a paragraph or two and ask a specific question & she'll gladly give feedback

I've never liked English class much but Mrs. Franklin made it bearable for me. I enjoy her personality which is good because she will talk for 90% of the class. Unbiased and cared about student learning and if you put in the work you got the grade you deserve. Thanks again Mrs. Franklin.

Can be confusing in her explanations and gets frustrated easily when someone doesn't understand. The papers we write are long and the instructions for them and grading criteria tend to be vague. Great personality, tough teacher.

Grades you in the most difficult and confusing way on papers. Does not explain why you got the grade just depends if you worship her or not. Emails every day talking about the "dedicated " students who come when it's just a english class so they are all the same. DO NOT TAKE HER

Mrs Franklin is great! She's understanding and actually cares about her students. We had in class seminars as a chance to pick each other's brains. She goes over things ALOT which to me was a touch annoying but that shows how dedicated she is to making sure you get it! Take her. She's a boss!

Top tag is THERE FOR YOU! You will learn so much more than you think... Amazing teacher. She will help you with any assignment, for English or anything else. P.S. Her hair is gorgeous. Expect some work. Boo hoo. It is awesome work that you will actually learn from. She holds in class discussions and seminars. A good chance to open the mind!

My entire class loved Mrs. Franklin. In college I've never been seen students so close with one another and their teacher. We had a great time in her class. She is a very nice, laid back and chill lady. She loves all of her students.

Without a doubt, one of the greatest at CFCC. She expects nothing but the best from her students and gives you all the tools and support to reach that expectation. She was a game-changer for me and pushed me to strive for excellence. I adore her!

I absolutely hated english until I got in this class. She is by far one of the best teachers at cape fear! She cares about explaining things and also gives multiple opportunities for extra credit if needed (most likely won't need it if you do all your work). Definitely would recommend her to anyone!

She is just wonderful. Good person, good professor. Understanding and inspiring. She creates that sense of community in her classes that many professors fail to do. I was sad to leave her class and it felt like the semester was over too soon.

Excellent teacher! She explains everything thoroughly and makes you understand what the assignment is. Fairly easy class but definitely pay attention if you want good cluesideas for papers. She has examples of papers that are very helpful! Highly recommend taking her class!

Professor Franklin is there for you if needed, she will not hunt you down and let you know what you miss or see if you are behind (you are a college student those days should be over anyways!) She is there when needed for guidance but other than that, just show up to class and work independently there is no babying in her class so dont expect it

Ms. Franklin is a great teacher. She loves a creative class, and if she sees that you're willing to take creative risks, you will be handsomely rewarded. Her lectures can be dull at times, but her friendliness and genuine concern for her students more than make up for it.

Ms. Franklin is easily one of the best professors I've had at Cape Fear. Behind Ms. Cannon (Psychology) and Mr. Earnhardt (Communication), Ms. Franklin is one of my favorites.
