thank god he's gone. I took his classes in 05 because they were the only ones I could get into. He doesn't know the material well and has others teach his courses but takes credit for the work of hisTAs and the professionals that help the class. Avoid him

He's ok. He's gone a lot and wants you to learn by yourself, which sucks when you don't understand. He also grades pretty tough on assignments and your really pushed during the time your gathering your information.
