Collins is such a sweet & passionate professor who also gives amazing lectures. This class isn't hard he gives a study guide and the exams look exactly like the study guide. If you can study for 5+ hours you'll easily pass the tests. There's no homework only one project so you're only graded on few items, 3 Exams that can make or break your grade

Comment:

Prof. Collins was one of the best professors I've had here at COC. I'm not one for history, but he made it fun! We got to vote to use a textbook and to add 2 students into the class! You need to come bc we don't use a book, so the info is important from lectures, which are daily. He gives you fill-in notes, too! Don't stress! This class was easy!!!

he's funny,NO HW only 1 major project that you can literally do in two days if you know how to research. lectures were so off topic I didn't know whether it was a funny story or an actual event... NO TEXT required cus he gives you study guides w/answers so if you STUDY you pass BUT TAKE GOOD NOTES but good luck trying to figure out his lectures

Professor Collins was possibly the worst professor I have ever had. Many of his historical facts are irrelevant to the class and/or are completely wrong. He was also disrespectful to other cultures and blatantly makes up facts. He also makes you write a 30+ page essay and barely looks at it. It is an easy class, but this professor is awful.

Tests are easy and straightforward. He doesn't require a book unless the class votes to use it. He's really nice and funny and makes the lectures interesting, and he gives almost a full letter grade of extra credit if you do it all. Grading in his class is also extremely lenient.

Collins was honestly one of the best teacher's I've ever had. He's hilarious and makes coming to class fun. He's not biased at all with politics and let's us debate fairly. His tests are straight-forward. He offers so much extra credit, take advantage of it!

Hands down the best history teacher I ever had. He makes it fun and simple to learn the chapters. He also doesn't require us to buy the book (a plus). All you have to do is read through the notes(23 1/2 times) and you'll do great on the test.

This was the easiest teacher I've ever had! He gives soon much extra credit and there are no surprises on the test. During his lectures, he gives you an outline and you fill that out while he speaks about the topic. If you just memorize those notes, you have nothing to worry about! A bonus is that he doesn't make you buy the $200 textbook.

Doesn't use a book, doesn't make slides and other resources more accessible for students. Extremely picky grader. Acts like he "gotcha" if you didn't follow his directions to the letter, even if his directions are unclear or pointless. For example: term paper doesn't use MLA or APA format, but will dock for "wrong" citations or biblio.

Mr. Collins is a fun teacher, he's not too serious and is a jokster. Tests are super tough, but study your notes and and the outlines he gives and you will surely pass. Not my preference in teaching style, but he is a great teacher none the less.

Collins was awesome. He isn't joking when he says you need to go over your notes 23 1/2 times. We never had homework, but tons of extra credit. His tests were hard if you didn't go over your notes, but he gives you everything you need to know. No textbook was required. He was fun and entertaining. I highly recommend his class!

Old guy but super good at speaking and keeping the interest of the class. No textbook, don't order it. He gives you the notes that you need to study for his tests and other than one project and extra credit you have absolutely no homework. Super easy relaxed chill class. Got an A without trying.

Professor Collins is the most amazing person! I absolutely loved his class and the way he taught it! He is the biggest dork and super cute! But do all the extra credit he offers because it is part of your grade. he is super easy but yes it does require you to do work and laught a lot. Going to miss him

If Political Science isn't your thing then take Professor Collins and I promise by the end of the semester you're going to feel like a Political Science major! Mr. Collins is easily my favorite teacher so far. I had no interest in political science prior to the class but he made it interesting. He made morning classes not only bearable but enjoyable.never had homework and he offered extra credit every class. if you take notes and pay attention you will easily pass his tests. Love his humor AMAZING TEACHER
