Best teacher i had this semester, hard but fair. No tricks, you just have to know what he teaches. Low book use. Man knows EVERYTHING, literaly nothing we asked him about history did he not know. Would love to take again if he wasnt leaving, great teacher and great class. You must show up everyday to get all notes.

Comment:

One of the hardest professors I've ever had, but also one of the best. His favorite phrase was "I'm difficult, not unreasonable", which is absolutely true. Awesome lectures. The tests were essay formats, but if you came to class and took deccent notes, you could get by. It's a shame he is leaving, I would take any class that he teaches!

I have no idea who posted the negative entry, but they must have the wrong teacher or are just stupid. Welborn's lectures cover EVERYTHING, u dont even need to read the book, just made sure u know EVERYTHING cause it will be on the test, espically dates. This will be his last term teaching at Clayton as he is moving in Jan. Hard but fair teacher

He does not go by the book so don't purchase it! His test consist of questions he made up to deliberately trick you and if you ask him for a study guide and/or recommendations on how to study he says " I am your study guide" He says staements and then writes chickenscratch on the board. No,bookuse,nostudyguide,no help tricky test.BAD!

holy crap!! This is what learning is all about!! The man is a life changer that will make you remember everything he says at his high decibal voice. Dr.Welborn filled my brain with knowledge, and I looked forward to coming to his class everytime. Even if I was tired, Welborn would wake me right up. Do the work he asks, and you will get an A no doubt.

Absolutely brilliant, Dr. Welborn knows the history of the world like the back of his hand. His teaching method is top-knotch and students will remain captivated and become learned unless they are a form of mold or sloth.

Dr. Welborn is such a helpful teacher. He truly wants you to learn something out of his class. Not only was his class interesting but he enjoys teaching. This teacher and class I recommend if you want to broaden your education. Basically, to A's this class pay attention to what the requirement are on the first day and tape the class.
