Comment:

I would definitely recommend this prof for online humanities. There's one big project at the end but it honestly isn't that hard. I noticed he had links to audio lectures, but I didn't use them. There's one or two assignments a week, maybe 3 at most, including a discussion board. He responds to emails quickly and respectfully.

Very good professor. I would recommend taking this class online as he does like to talk and lecture. I did the fast track online summer class and he was amazing. I got behind and he worked with me and helped me bring my grade back up to an A+

Comment:

Professor Madero is a wonderful professor very willing to work with you and you can tell he is passionate about humanities. He responds quickly and gives great feedback on what you need to do to fix your mistakes. He also lets you fix your assignments for full credit. I would definitely recommend him as he is one of the better teachers I have had.

Comment:

Passionate and kind, but practical and knowledgeable. If you want to learn another language, you usually have to practice out of class. He was easy to contact and balanced theory with practice. Gave useful resources to learn Spanish/interpret. Even brought snacks to class and tea. I've studied Spanish my whole life and he helped me more than most.

Comment:

I thought I wasted my time and money when I took classes with him. He spent an entire class and half of another teaching about one section of interpretation (education) instead of preparing us for the national test. He is knowledgeable about his subject, but he is not open to questions and believes that practice is not as useful as theory.

I took the online course. It is a lot to keep up with but the professor was always available and really helpful. This class helped me connect back to my own culture and it opened up my mind to new ideas. The projects were really interesting too. At times I might have gone overboard but that's because I was so much into what I was doing.

I haven't gotten my grade yet, but I am only learning that wants to talk all the time. Not very friendly when asked questions. They say his tests are long and he doesn't give you enough time to finish it.

Maduro talks through class and I felt I came to class to hear him talk and I had no chance to practice. He is wordy and takes along time to respond. His test was long and I did not have enough time to finish it.

His Blackboard was a mess with too much information. He was very repetitive so the classes were longer than needed be, and our final test took up the entire 2 hours that was available to use, which had not been enough for some of the other students.

This professor was AWESOME! Great at communicating! Was understanding when my grandfather wasn't well and I was unable to focus on my project. Great at constructive criticism and suggested changes when needed. DO YOUR WORK and you'll do well!

This class required more work than any lab science or math course I've taken. He is very long winded & repetitive, so understanding instructions is difficult. It appear thorough, but ends up being confusing. Blackboard appears organized, but is a mess. No tests; he makes up for it in long assignments. This is an online class with one live meeting.

This guy got mad because i pointed out to him in a email the mistakes he had made. I went from a 100% to a 59% that week and he began drilling my papers. He piles on the work and barely speaks English. He made a YouTube video to try to explain to his students what he wanted and the video he made was ridiculous. Worst professor iv ever had!

Un instructor excelente. Es profesional, analítico y entendido de varios idiomas. Tiene un don de adaptar su manera de ensenar dependiendo de las formas en que cada estudiante aprende. La institución de TCC y los estudiantes de TCC tienen suerte poseerlo.

His instructions are overly thorough. He is VERY long-winded. I cannot emphasize this enough! You really have to read EVERYTHING he posts. He sometimes posts in strange places, so log on EVERY DAY & look around. However, he is very fair & willing to help if you do not understand. If you are a visual learner, this class will be easy. No tests.

Profesor Maduro is a great teacher. He genuinely wants you to learn Spanish. He answers questions in a respectful and timely manner. He is helpful and tries to be as clear as possible. The way he conducts his online course is atypical and confusing at first, but only because he wants you to learn; you will get the hang of it.

DO NOT TAKE! Maduro's instructions are lengthy, confusing and disastrous. Tons of terribly lengthy assignments, and his tests aren't representative to what you study. I have never taken a more clustered and TIME CONSUMING class ever! I do believe he is a good person... unfortunately a horrible professor. BEWARE!!

I took spanish II online with this professor. I would never recommend him to another student. He is very rude, and does not understand why you can't just speak spanish fluently by spanish II. If you actually want to learn and not be made to feel stupid if you make a mistake, DO NOT take this class. There are better instructors at TCC for spanish!
