Two exams, both are about answering an essay question. He practically gives you the question you'll be tested on. Rambles and hard to understand at times, so the textbook will be your friend. Love, love, loved Dr. Thompson. He is so sweet and helpful and very knowledgeable. No tests!! You do have an electronic journal you have to keep up with all semester and two papers-very manageable. Must take teacher and class!

I took intro to Crim J with him and the 1st thing i noticed was it took him 30 minutes to get through one sentence and by the end of it you forgot what he was even talking about bc it usually ended up not making any sense. Other than the fact that I was thoroughly confused, his class was a piece of cake and attendance wasnt mandatory. EASY A!

Just finished his summer 201 class.. absolutely pointless. Didn't take attendance. Didn't give tests, so no point in taking notes, or even going to class. Just keep a notebook of printed out news articles and do 3 or 4 online discussion board questions and get an A. Don't bother if you actually want to learn about violence...

Take the Info Systems class online if you can. It is EXACTLY the same as the in class course, but you never have to go to class. Thompson puts all of his assignments on BlackBoard so u never have to go to class to make an A.

The class is very very easy. There is only a midterm, final, and 2 papers. The midterm and final he posts terms and questions to study. They are very easy. The papers also aren't hard at all, just 3-5 pages. If give a little bit of effort, you could easily walk out of the class with a B. Attendance isn't mandatory.

I went to every class before the midterm, took it, got mad that EVERYTHING was vocab & the study questions from Bb, and didn't show up again until the final. Got an A. The only hard part was memorizing all those vocab words from every chapter because you never know which ones he's going to ask about. Nice guy, though his speech drove me CRAZY..

I don't really know Dr. Thompson, but I took his online Crmj211 class and it's a joke. All you do is keep up with a notebook and the assignments he puts on Blackboard. The assignments that he posts are relatively easy for the most part. Extremely easy. Take him!

Bad teacher. He doesn't lecture about anything related to the material supposed to be covered, and doesn't make sense half the time. Makes high pitched noises and funny voices sometimes. There are two papers and two tests. The papers are easy and the tests would be too if it weren't for the random vocabulary.
