One of the worst teachers in Buffalo State. I would not recommend anyone to take his class. You will not learn anything ! It is hard to get in contact with him and his tests are very difficult. I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone not even if you paid me.

It was a very tricky class. He really gets you to step out of your mind in the way you perceive things. Exams were pretty difficult but only because they require you to use logic and not just look up answers. Class was good and I walked away with a new perspective.

I loved this class! Everything you need to know is in his syllabus. With his curve earning an A was not difficult at all. Just put in the work and you will do fine

Do not take this class. Lectures are interesting, but the exams do not make much sense. It is a guessing game. He tells you all of the questions that will be on the exam and after taking time to look each and every one up in the book that HE wrote, I still end up with 50%. My grades suggest that I learned nothing even when I put in my best effort.

if you take this class do it p/f. i wouldn't recommend it at all though. his test questions make sense, the answers are hard to pick. have to think like him. i took answers straight from his selfwritten book and somehow just managed passing, with the very high curve.its interesting but complicated.i still have no idea what ans's i got wrong or why.

this is a class that definitley makes you think, you need to put time into your tests and understanding what he means. DO NOT CHEAT. u will fail if u take the exam at the same time as someone else and have similar answer, dont risk it! overall it was an interesting class!

the class is odd in that he expects you to understand his brain in order to pass the exams. Im not against understanding his views but its useless knowledge in the practical world... and he gives me a weird vibe, like he has a double life or something.. some of his test questions sent chills down my spine

You can't just show up at northwestern and get a masters degree without knowing something. This guy is fantastic! he dares you to beat his tests by letting you use ANYTHING you want and giving you the answers. The questions just require common sense. oh, and if you take all 3 tests you cant fail. man up and dont take pass/fail.

I'm not sure what's going on with these people. DON'T go to class. He podcasts every word he says. Read the book...the answers are there. You just need to think and make sense of them.

Very interesting course. Many of his lecture stories were entertaining and book was interesting. Exams were challenging, but he curved all of them. If you're up for an interesting, different course experience, highly recommended!

This guy is nuts! Do not take the class, it should not be a college class, or at least they should change the name of the class to ramblings of an old grouchy man!

Class is useless. So hard for no reason. He records his lectures so you don't have to attend class even though i still did hoping that it would help when i took the test which i still did horrible on. this class with this professor is pointless. Let's just say the average grade is a C

He should be fired he is absolutely terrible. teaches nothing about communication and everyone does bad in his classes. I didnt learn anything whatsoever. If i had a choice to be beaten or take another class with him i would rather be beaten.

This class was a waste of time. Good thing we didnt have to be in class because I couldn't force myself to sit through 1 hr & 40 min of his lectures. It is supposed to be Intro to Communication yet he was most definitely teaching Philosophy. Take this class for an easy grade, open notes/book/computer test with a curve. I never read and got a B

I thought that the class was going to be easy seeing as it was basic oral communications, but I felt that the class as he ran it was useless. He gives 3 tests, two midterms and a final he drops the lowest of the two midterms. The tests were rediculous and pointless.
