Comment:

I struggled in this class 1) because the course material was difficult and 2) because the class is online. I do think Dr. Flinn does a good job of providing students with the resources they need to do well in class. When I reached out to him with questions he was responsive. Wording on quizzes/tests was full of typos, so be ready to translate.

The easiest class I have taken at Creighton. He gives extra credit quizzes basically every class, so you should show up to every class. Easy to get your grade up with quizzes even though the tests can be somewhat difficult. He is always willing to help you out, even during tests.

Didn't learn a single thing. On a smooth path to getting a B+. This dude can hardly see the papers he's reading in front of him. Accounting major? Don't take him. Need an easy class to do some homework in? Flinn's your guy. 4/10 with rice.

You teach the material to yourself, easy tests and quizzes but you don't learn anything. He makes no eye contact when he lectures and sits the whole class. Avoid him at all costs.

To be frank, yes, Flinn is hard to understand but he's also brilliant and master in accounting. When you actually sit down, shut up and pay him your full attention, his methods are always simple, straightforward and they always end up on the test. No tricks or gimmicks attached. If you have him, just sit in the front; you'll be fine. I earned an A.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE HIM! He no longer gives out extra credit which was the only thing that made the class easy before. You cannot understand one word he says even when it does not pertain to accounting. I have no idea whats going on in this class. Gives you one million handouts that don't even make sense. Seriously, STAY AWAY!

Comment:

Single Greatest Teacher at Creighton University. A master in the subject, knows the answers to every question. If every teacher at Creighton were like Flinn then this school would be better than Harvard! Nice, smart, and hilarious when he gets political. Take everyone of his classes and your life will be 300% happier & more fulfilling. Pure Gandhi!

Take this if you want to get by in accounting, but DO NOT TAKE if you are an accounting major. You cannot understand him but he gives bonus quizzes to help pump up grades. Most kids got C's on their tests without doing any studyiny and by the time he gives bonus point quizzes they end up with B's and A's.

Flinn gets a pretty bad rep. But in the end, he is a lot better than other acc profs. He gives a ton of handouts that are actually really helpful in understanding the material. There are a lot of bonus point quizzes that will improve your grade. He isn't easy to understand so you will probably teach yourself. Take if you dont care about acc.

Comment:

Easiest accounting teacher at CU. Nearly impossible to understand him, but he's a really nice guy. Very willing to help. Gives out tons of handouts, so you need to teach yourself. Doesn't collect homework. Tests come from handouts. Gives lots of quizzes, so show up to class. Notes he gives are incomprhensible.Take if you aren't intererested in ACC.

This is the teacher to take if you are not interested in continuing with Accounting. You can't understand him and he hands out hundreds of pages of handouts that aren't helpful. You are able to do homework in his class and you can use notes during the quizzes and he even gave out a couple of bonus quizzes.

Very boring class and yes, it is difficult to understand him. But he gives out a TON of handouts which make it somewhat easier to learn. Gives lots of quizzes, takes 10 best for the final grade. Has given a few bonus quizzes that boosted my exam grade up an entire letter. Homework not required either.

Boring class but quite easy. Many handouts and sample quizzes are given out that are quite similar to actual tests and quizzes given throughout. Need to teach yourself some of the material, but seemed way easier than ACC 201

This is a very easy class. Bonus quizzes are given which make you attend class. I got 120% on some tests. Actual class is worthless, for tests you can use full sheet of notes so just read before test and you will be fine. Dr. Flinn is not a good lecturer, but if you go see him for help he will try to explain and give you the solution. Very EASY!

If you have him for accounting 202 it will be the easy business class you take. You can use a full page of notes on tests and you have bonus quizzes every week. If you actually want to learn something he may not be for you because he is very hard to understand. I havent studied on paid attention in class and I am well over 100%

He isn't the clearest teacher to understand but he goes at a slower pace so you really learn the material. He gives a ton of packets so you don't really need to read the book except to work out the problems if you want. Very helpful.

When you take Flinn's class you will have a hard time understanding what he's saying a lot of the time. He talks real fast and mumbles. But he isr real helpful when you're taking the test. Ask him anything and he'll really help you out.
