She as one of the best teachers I've ever had. It's a hard class but I learned a lot. People who would complain about her class are honestly probably just dumb because all you have to do is just work for the grade, she doesn't make it easy but it's not like she doesn't care either and gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities.

I had a great time in Professor Hsu's class. She was very helpful during and outside of class. She is sarcastic and has a great sense of humour. Her tests are definitely hard, but as long as you study her material, you'll be fine. Her class is like taking three classes: lab, lecture and computer simulations. GIVES LOTS OF EC. Got an A in her class!

Professor Hsu is tough on her students but she really cares for each individual who takes her class. Her powerpoint slides aren't complete so attending lecture is a must. Lots of extra credit to volunteer to boost your grade. Come to her office hours and she'd help you. Her tests are hard and lots of group work, you must understand everything.

Professor Hsu is amazing because she makes Biology fun and exciting. She uses powerpoint slides, which is exactly what is on the midterms. There would be ec in the midterm so take advantage of that. She gives ec for study groups, which are the people who sit next to you--this really helped me. The hw were drawings from the book--2 drawings/week.

So from previous reviews, I thought this was gonna be the worst class. But Prof Hsu is absolutely lovely! She really wants you to learn and does a great way with comparing physiology to things that are easily understandable. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EC. SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES! &take pics of her slides, she doesn't show all of them. u have to be productive

Great teacher! The material is hard enough, but she has slides for different types of learners. Be prepared to take pictures of the slides because there are a lot of slides missing from the presentations. Gives out clear study guides and her tests are hard, but she primes you for them during lecture. Really funny professor.

DON'T TAKE HSU!!!!!!! she assigns two drawings a week and she judges your artistic ability. So basically if she doesn't like how it looks you get half a point. Like why tf would she determine your grade on drawings. This is a biology class not an art class.

Class was overall okay. All her lectures are related to the test. as long as you pay attention and take GOOD notes you are good but if not then sorry. Read the book when she says to, they will help with understanding the material better. Do not skip any class unless it is an absolute emergency because she takes attendance seriously. good luck!

I loved Professor Hsu! My best friend actually recommended me to take her class. Everything she lectures is what will be on the tests. Just show up to class do the work and drawings and you will pass. I am not the strongest at science classes but she made it easy and it wasn't a drag to come to class. Totally recommend her!

I like her, she tries to help you as much as she can and is a bit disorganized, but she knows what she's doing. There is a lot of material, so you have to study her slides and some books to know whats going on. She gives plenty of extra credit.

I adore professor Hsu, she actually genuinley cares about her students and wants them to pass. Her tests are straight forward and are pretty much everything that was in lecture. She offers ALOT of extra credit, on the drawings, for having a study group, and extra questions on exam. Her lectures are a little boring, i ended up teaching myself.

If you can draw you should be fine with the homework, but if not buy tracing paper. She definitely offers a lot of extra credit opportunities, but her tests are intense.

She really makes you depend on her lecture notes. If you dont study them you will fail because it is all based on what she put on them. Do read the book because it does go more in depth and because you might have dozed off during her long lectures. She does give you great chances to pass the class with extra credit.

One thing I have to point out, make a study group. Making friends to study with 24/7 is what saved me in this class. Do not take studying lightly or you will fail. 2 practicals & 3 lecture exams total and research project, every point counts! With a positive attitude and the strength to ask for help you will do fine. oh and she loves jokes! :)

likable person, but as a prof did not like her. Loves that her class has a rep. for being very diff. Lecture pp driven but not all slides given no time to copy. Excel a must or forget lab. Res proj. unfair (assigned partners/topic, and unclear instruct., expect,)tests 175 Q in 120 m. Fast test taker or you fail. Got an A due to youtube not prof.

As long as you commit to studying and memorizing the notes and do the drawings, this will be an easy straightforward class. Her tests are very passable as they are entirely based off the notes/powerpoints. My only complaint I have, she purposely provides incomplete notes so that you're forced to attend class and copy what she left out.

DON'T take her Run for ur life.wicked& worst lecturer I haveever met.I learnt nothing.Gives good grades to her friends.Hates u if u ask many question in class.Gives wortless assignment & project that doesn't relate to course .Abreviated, wrong & confusing handouts.Never hands out exams booklet after test &gives a hand written manipulated grades.

She purposefully leaves slides out so that everyone attends class (we should anyways). Of those non-pre-printed slides, you need a camera because she skips them in under a minute (can't hand-write in time). She bets ext cred points on sports. She asked a student to write a bad letter about another instructor. Really?! Her calling isn't teaching.

Think about anatomy combined with logic and reasoning. Review from memorization and you have to (MUST) know diagrams, graphs and fxn. Hardest nursing prereqs you'll ever have. She is tough but quirky. Overwhelming work (spreadsheets, drawings, hand written Q&A labs...)'specially the research project. Good luck!!!!
