I genuinely enjoyed Dr. Spitzberg's class. People find him intimidating, but he's really not. He is incredibly patient and helpful; it's clear that he wants his students to succeed, you've just got to put in the effort. Tough grader, but also very fair. This class made me reevaluate some of my current relationships, and the book is a great read!

Awesome tests! Study guide is concise and tests incorporate outline of study guide. Tests promote a higher level of learning . Questions are upfront, clear, and answer options are clear easier to understand material. Smart guy, grades quickly. Overall super efficient class looking forward to taking his classes in the future.

Spitzberg is the best professor I have ever had (and trust me, I've had a lot of them). He is incredibly smart, very humble, super helpful, and amazingly funny. He has a bad rap for using big words - but the truth is, he uses big words and then right after explains what the words mean. He will take time out of his day, even on weekends, to help.

Spitzberg was my favorite instructor at SDSU. I took 3 of his COMM Classes. This guy is a GENIUS and if you actually pay attention you will gain more from him than any other professor, guaranteed. Yes his papers can be a little difficult, but he is ALWAYS there to help in his office or is efficient at responding to emails in a timely manner. I

He's so boring and speaks to his students like they're dumb. I went to his office hours a few times as well and he wasn't the friendliest person and barely answered my questions. Attendance is mandatory b/c he gives clicker questions. Power points were pointless, just go over the study guide and you'll be fine.

Dr. Spitzberg is a great professor. I was intimidated by all the talk about him being really tough and strict. His exams are EXACTLY like the study guide, but he grades hard on the paper (over 2,000 corrections on only 50/150 papers he received!) I got an A in this class, but I know people who have struggled.

Absolutely the most informative teacher you will ever have. Is he easy no, because he actually teaches. His expectations are clear and he is more than willing to help you meet those expectations. Don't be scared to take his class because of his reputation- if you are an A student you'll get A's if you are a B student you'll get B's

Dr. Spitzberg is a very good professor. Extremely knowledgeable. Very interesting lectures. He is very approachable and is willing to help out his students. Spitzberg is a very strict grader when it comes to papers. You better know your APA format inside and out if you want a decent grade on the 10 page assignment. Spitz inspired me to work hard as a student. His classes are challenging, which is what I expect in college. He is available to help & he honestly wants his students to learn, grow, become better communicators. He's got a big heart, slightly large ego, but we're all flawed, and beside that, he has accomplished a lot and earned bragging rights.

Professor Spitzberg first day of class is an illusion! He does all kinds of interesting and fun stuff and talks about how students cant learn unless they are interested but out of left field he turns into a dud! he is smart but talks to much about himself. He is very sensitive and moody when poeple leave during class! he gets off on grading hard!

Spitzberg is a tough teacher but guess what...it's college; it's supposed to be hard. He is extremely intelligent and tends to talk in academic terms but he is always available to clear up anything that you don't understand. Anyone who demeans Spitzberg is clearly a lazy student. Do the work, take him up on his office hours and you'll do fine.

Yes, he is hard, But it is possible to do well in his classes. You just got to keep up with him. He is fast and works at a higher level than other professors. Dont worry about it. its only your GPA. Bush graduated with a 2.15 and he is the president!!

This class is not interesting at all! You don't need to go to class and if you do, you will find you can't stay focused on what he is saying! He is very monotone and likes to brag about his research. The only positive aspect of this class is that he gives a lecture packet so you don't have to sit through his boring lectures. Test are really hard! D
