Comment:
Dr Veldhuis is everything a prof should be. Unlike many profs, he actually manages to explain complex material in a concise way that's not hard to understand. He also makes great connections between the content and real world. One thing I liked a lot is the amount of prep material he gives for midterms/exams.

Stephen Veldhuis is probably the most wholesome guy Ive ever met. Vibrations is a really difficult course; the content is insane, but Dr Veldhuis manages to explain everything well. Lectures are mandatory as there are pop quizzes, but he makes everything entertaining. Super sweet and funny guy. You can tell he really cares about his students.

Great guy as a person, teaching style is good, but the organization of the course could be improved a bit to make it easier to learn and do well in this course. He makes you work for it a bit, but gives you plenty of opportunity to improve your mark

Also had him for a graduate class 720 machine tool analysis. He is my favorite prof, very clear, VERY lenient and understanding. will help you out outside the office, write you personal references, find you jobs, etc. I took his classes just because he was the professor and I don't regret it. Awesome prof.

Good prof. tried to keep things interesting. The course is totally conceptual... I still don't understand half of what we covered. Prof made the course bareable though.

I found this course rather bizarre! So many vague concepts that I honestly don't see myself applying at any point in my life. But, to the prof's credit, he was always there for help and tried his best to make the content as interesting as possible. Very nice prof, but disliked the course!

Enthusiastic young prof who tries his best to keep us interested in the subject. Writes notes a little too fast on the board. Too bad the course material is so useless...
