Good prof, very passionate about his subject. 2 exams and final are take home: little tougher, but he'll answer questions if you ask. Several homework and mini-assignments, all very easy As. Quizzes are very simple. Overall, nice man although a bit scattered and forgets to return emails sometimes. Scales averages. Getting an A: really quite easy.

Pollock is not one of the teachers that makes an intro course really hard, so you can just tune-in and enjoy your required course. And to top it off, he's hilarious! What more can you ask for, really?

I took prof. Pollock for the lecture and the lab and I ended up loving that class. He has a good sense of humor and he's extremely helpful in clarifying information. I highly recommend taking geology with professor Pollock for the natural sciences requirement.

GREAT Professor! I highly recommend him over both Vose and Swanson. He may look goofy in his bowtie and act alittle quarky, but he's the best professor I've ever had! ps. The final was takehome.

Recognized that most of the students in the class were taking it fulfill core requirments only. Tailored it to the needs of non-majors. That was appreciated by all
