His lectures are great, he explains everything very clearly and gives lots of examples to figure everything out. He's clear about expectations, very fair and definitely cares about his students. He has good character and is very professional. I would HIGHLY recommend him and am so thankful I landed into his class and will continue on with him.

I've never been a fan of math but he's made it enjoyable and actually fun. He's extremely informative (the first college class I haven't felt like I had to teach myself) he's VERY responsive outside of class, he teaches good values to learn outside of just math, which I find extremely beneficial for younger students that haven't had to work a job.

Steve is an inspirational professor. I hated math before his class, and now I don't hate math, though I don't like it either. He really helped me to understand things I had never before understood, nor wanted to do. He is nerdy, but funny at times. He is a great professor and really cares about students that put forth effort.

Signed up for this class not realizing it's a hybrid. That didn't bother me until I found out that all you do is sit on the computer doing HW and if you have a question, raise your hand and ask. Pretty much, teach yourself in this one. BUT the program Hawkes was super helpful, and I passed with an A. He's super helpful and understanding.

He's a great answer Cook's planes things very very well. But the online Hawks curriculum is the worst thing. Since it is a computer system that has disregard for human error and only teaches you to do it one-way. With so many students in the class it's really hard individual help, Had to hire tutor.

Probably the best teacher I've ever had in terms of effectiveness, classroom environment, character, etc. I had him for math172 also. he is always there to help. He takes a unique approach to math that makes it fun. I am not a math person at all but his classes were my favorite. He is funny and super nice.. Brings donuts and milk for tests !

Ive hated math my entire life, and Kinholt made math very fun. I entered his class at the bottom level of math and now im getting ready to transfer to a major university with all of my math credits from 62 to 107 done. If you arent set with math skill Kinholt will take care of that no problem!!! Very cool guy too

I have struggled with math all my life and never understood why I needed to take it. Now I can say I 'appreciate' math. Steve is a great teacher who is excited about math and truly wants you to succeed. If you put in effort, there's no reason why you can't be successful in this class.

Steve is a FANTASTIC professor. Charismatic and challenging without being too difficult. Always willing to help out or direct you to someone who can. I've always struggled with math, but with Steve I almost got a 4.0 in his class, and even had fun doing it! Would gladly take another class with him.

Steve is a great instructor..I was terrified to take a flex class because I was scared it would be too difficult to lesrn the material on my own.It was not bad at all!I enjoyed it more than a regular lecture class and I'm not the best at math. I got a 4.0.He allows retakes if you deserve it. He is also willing to help you if you're having trouble!
