Awesome professor. Great Style of teaching. Started out the class each day with a slide show of interesting pictures related to what he was going to teach that day. I was not interested in taking this class at all, but I ended up really enjoying it.

Comment:

One of the most interesting professors I have ever had. He has such a passion for what he is teaching and that makes the class interesting even when the material isn't. If you attend class and take notes, you'll do fine on the tests.

Steve is an amazing professor. His class was my favorite class of all throughout my entire freshman year. The class isn't difficult if you take notes, pay attention, and just study. He tells you exactly what is going to be on the tests in class, so it shouldn't be difficult. He is really fun and his class was a nice break from boring lectures.

Steve is a really nice guy, but don't let him know your name! If he knows your name he will pick on you to answer random questions throughout the entire semester. His tests are pretty difficult but his homework is easy. Take this class with caution..

Steve is a nice guy, but a poor teacher. He is more interested in defending the validity of his profession than actually teaching. Steve always picks on the kids that yawn. If you need to know anything about geology Google it cause Steve will end up talking trash to you about your major. Steve is a "touchy feely" kind of guy.

Great teacher. Cares about the subject, cares about the students doing well. If you go to class and take notes you'll do well. The book can be helpful if you miss a lecture buy you'll end up doing twice the work. Makes you participate in class which can be annoying, but it keeps you paying attention.

K seriously...he is my fav teacher of all times. His tests are lengthy, but not hard if you are good at memorizing simple things. His enthusiasm is contagious, and his teaching style in unique and fun. He really makes this class worth taking. I highly recommend him!
