Don't confuse how nice this guy seems with his grading--he's a nice guy and all, but he is by FAR the hardest grader in the HGP department, imho. I BARELY pulled a B in his class, and I otherwise would have had a 4.0! In class, he's quite confusing and goes off-topic a LOT, and he can't write comprehensibly on the board to save his life...

he lectures, he's funny, but jumps all around the topics, there's no text book, so your tests are on his lectures, he does assign readings and you report on those readings, but for midterm/final you must go on his lectures.He's really funny and the class is much more interesting than I thought it would be

Totally go to EVERY class, write down what he says in class, don't need to read the text, and when you write the essay write down everything he said in class, but quote the text (sometimes quote him) and for sure you will get a good grade. You just gotta figure this guy out, and I did! :)
