Mrs. Hoffman was the best! She was very understanding and told you exactly what you needed to do. She was very understanding on attendance. There were a bunch of quizzes, but if you did the reading they were an easy A. The reading was not hard at all, they were kids' books! I am taking her class again, the best professor I've had so far!

You read A LOT. Multiply readings due at every class. Quizzes over some of the readings. Have to read 4 books and have quizzes over them. Small papers over different things. She grades papers tough, doesn't really say what exactly she wants on them. Does not cancel class and will talk the WHOLE time.

A LOT of reading, half of what you read are not the tests. Tests are TF and essays. A few papers(reviews of the books you read) Talks A LOT and will stay the whole time of the class time, rarely cancels class. Would not take her as a professor again.

Ms. Hoffman is awesome! She is so sweet and is extremely flexible and understanding about due dates. If you dont read the material, still passable but for an easy A on quizzes and papers, just do the reading. I would definitely take her class again. Loved her!

Hoffman made this class so easy! You read your stuff, discuss in class, and occasionally take quizzes. There are a few really easy assignments here and there but for the most part there isn't much to this class! She wants you to pass so she is super lenient on pretty much EVERYTHING. Very different from most college professors!

Such a sweet lady! And such an easy class. Read absolutely everything, which isn't that hard, I mean come on its kids stories and read BEFORE class. You will be quizzed often. I suggest doing well early the final is optional.

Mrs. Hoffman is a very very sweet and understanding lady. She will help you a ton, and if you need to miss class just email her, she is VERY understanding. She lets you make up work if you do miss. She can be tough if she needs to be though so do not push her. READ READ READ her assignments or you will not pass her class! Fun class!

Love love love Professor Hoffman. She is the sweetest little lady and definitely understanding. She taught me so much in this class and I'm so glad I had her. Granted, there is a lot of readings so if you don't keep up you might not do well. But if you do read, quizzes and tests are simple. Very easy points and learned a lot.

I loved Mrs. Hoffman! She was the best English professor I ever had. Her class wasn't super easy, but it's not impossible. Definitely recommend her.

For anyone who says she's hard, you obviously just haven't taken a decent English course. They are meant to be reading and writing intensive. She was beyond amazing, super helpful, and even went out of her way to make sure I was able to turn in all my work, despite my busy work schedule. Couldn't ask for a better professor. :)

She really knows what she's talking about plus she's a sweet lady. She's very helpful and understanding if you happen to miss class--which I wouldn't recommend because a lot is covered in one day. She is knowledgable of the subject matter and helps you as much as you need. Second class I've had with her.

The assignments were easy however there was a lot of them. You had something to do for every class period except for one that i can remember, no exaggeration. It's easy work but you get frustrated from the amount. It kind of ruined children's literature for me due to all the work. It was just overkill.

Susan is the sweetest lady, very knowledgeable and well prepared, there will be ALOT of reading and ALOT of writing each class period, quizes are random but easy. Dont really agree with her grading style but its fair enough. AND STUFF ;0
