Comment:

I took several Psych classes and Found with Dr. Jennings. I am surprised by the poor ratings received here. Dr. J genuinely cared if students thought tests were too difficult etc and genuinely cared about our learning. show up to class and do your work ladies! Dr. J only wants you to be your best & take advantage of education you are lucky to get!

Comment:

Did not like this professor. She treats her students as if they are in elementary school. She is not clear with what she wants in tests and papers/projects. What she expects is often different than for what she asks. It is very frustrating. She does not like when the class does not answer her.

I had her for Founders which isnt exactly a core class.We did a lot of discussions and I really liked her input.She spoke very clearly, choosing her words carfeully, and she smiles a lot.I was a star student in that class, and everyone knew my name.But 2 semesters later, Syb didn't remember who I was.Kind of dissappointing considering RSC is small

I had Syb for my Harry Potter psych class, and I have her again for History and Systems. She expects a lot of you (ie do your work on time, show up to class, be responsible). She does not have much respect for people who don't put in the amount of effort they should. Overall, Syb is an amazing teacher!

She means well, but tends to treat us liek we're much younger than we really are. I'll catch her using inflections and phrases that she would on a child. Obviously very intelligent, though, and cares a lot about her students.

I have her for Founders right now and I cant stand it! She is extremely annoying and freaks out if you miss ONE class. Overall she seems nice but when she starts to talk a little part of me dies on the inside

Syb is one of the best professor's I have ever had. She is a genuine and kind woman, and will go out of her way to help you. Anyone who rates her poorly simply "got on her bad side" for being lazy or irresponsible.

I had Syb for world and founder's. I was dreading world (and can't say I loved it), but Syb helped with developing an open-mindedness in learning overall. She DOES have favorites, and I can tell because I am one. She holds grudges as well, and gets mad about high-school-ish things like missing a class or not contributing to conversation.

Syb was a wonderful teacher. She is so passionate about her students and what she is teaching them that it can be very touching. She does give a lot of work but she is very understanding about extensions and giving help. Her teaching style is a bit scattered but it all pulls together in the end and you realize how much you have learned from her.

Her method of teaching is different, so it takes some getting used to. She is a very nice and intelligent woman, however, don't get on her bad side because she seems to hold grudges and have favorites. She can be kind of unorganized as well.

When asking Syb for help she will do anything to help you understand a concept or find resources for projects. You just have to remember to ask questions if you start getting lost during lectures. The work tends to be detailed but she grades fairly.
