Comment:

Took him over the summer. He likes to talk about the material thats barely on the test. Read the book and try to get every single details on the cheat sheet is the only way to pass this class. Teach only simple calculations in class but hard on exams. 10%class excercise, 90% tests. Not approachable for help and very hard to understand the accent

Great course with fair prof. Online, heavily emphasis for discussion and critical thinking. FUTURE 140 students, I'm selling the textbook NEW condition with UNUSED NEW ACCESS CARD for cheap. Lookup on eBay "operations management OM NEW w/ access code collier/evans" peace!

Comment:

Decent professor. Not much to say. I took this online and the structure was solid with very little professor interaction. Exams weren't particularly easy or difficult. Homework, discussions, quizes, 2 MTs, 1 final (fairly heavy workload, as is the case for most fully online courses)

I took this over the Summer. It's about the right workload for a 5 week course. Exams were difficult. The median on the final was 66%, which is harder than I'm used to for exams. He does grade on a curve. Overall, very helpful and recommended. I took the course online so I had no concerns about a strong accent on lectures.

Worse teacher I have experienced at SJSU. Can not understand a word he says. Not helpful ti students at all. I have a very high GPA and he is a HORRIBLE professor. I pay too much to receive "learning" like this. I know how to read slides teach me something

Comment:

Hes funny but he has a Korean accent that can give others a hard time understanding. He gives about 6 HW, 2 midterm, and a final. He gives a good amount of EC and lets us have 1 sh (front/back) of notes on each test. He is not a bad teacher at all and he lectures and gives real world examples.

Unclear teaching methods. 5 or so HW assignments, extra credit is offered, 2 midterms and 1 final all 40 q's. You are allowed 1 sheet of notes front and back, take advantage of this and you'll do ok. He grades all exams on a curve. Nice person, funny person :)

Took this class over the winter. Take my advice and take this class during the winter. It is really easy. Your grade is based on 3 tests, which are non-cumulative. You get to have a page front/back of notes. 40 Q's. Teacher is very humorous and you will really enjoy the class during winter. If you take him over fall or spring, u have projects/essay

He has an accent. It is not the worst, and you can figure out what he means most of the time. small amounts of homework..your grade is based on 2 midterms (40 questions) and 1 final (only 40 questions)..there is not much room for error bc his tests have so few questions. allowed a cheat sheet front/back for tests & in the end was a gracious grader

Terrible professor! Unless you are very adept in understanding extreme Korean accents, do not show up to class. The simple fact that he could barely speak English suggests his apparent inability to teach. Basically, you have to teach yourself the entire class, because he cannot teach you himself.

Park is a really nice guy. He likes to make little jokes and gives a really relaxed setting. If you have issues understanding korean accents, take another class. He is really easy though. You get a full sheet front and back for exams. Bunch of extra credit assignments of offered.

Comment:

Material not always easy. Computational stuff sometimes easier than conceptual stuff. Very nice and helpful. Need to attend class, and although some may say don't buy book, you should in order to supplement what he is lecturing to you in class. Pay close attention to lectures and do all homework in order to get practice in, and you should be fine.

Don't need his book,only use it 2-3 times for HW, photocopy the pages from a classmate. You cant understand half of what he says because of his TERRIBLE accent. He's very stubborn too, will not be challenged by students questions. he'll just brush them off.

The topics discussed contain real-world examples, and the lecture is informative for those who are working in the Silicon Valley. The mid-term and final have some tricky MC questions that require careful attention in lecture. In general, this class is not too hard. Just be ready for his Korean accent. It will take you a while to get used to it.

dont buy the book(you wont touch it), just the course reader (cheap) and the student guide for the few HW assts(easy) Hes not a very clear teacher, but the material is pretty easy to understand. just follow through the course reader and ask him to go slide-by-slide what will be on the test and study that. Tests are multiple choice w/cheat sheet ;)
