Professor Fujita-Rony was absolutely great. He tends to go on tangents and is quite forgetful at times, however his lectures were enlightening. The only downside with him is that he doesn't have a Titanium link. Regarding about quizzes, he gives out study guides which are definitely HELPFUL.

Great guy, but a terrible professor. Everything was fine at the start of the semester but soon began to stray away from the syllabus. Grade only consisted of a paper proposal, midterm, and final which he ended up basing the course grade on since he never graded the first two. Constantly going on tangents and incredibly boring lectures.

Started out as an okay professor, but throughout the semester he got very unorganized with things. We never got our paper proposals back or our grades for our midterms. He's a genuine guy, just not too good of a professor. I wouldn't recommend him.

overall a nice guy but not that good of a prof. always went on tangents talking about things related to the material but not the material itself, so when it came time to the midterm/final (the 2/3 main grades) it was hard to use what was talked about in class. hard to know grade during sem because he never gave feedback. do not recommend

I do not recommend this class. This professor was extremely unorganized with his expectations. His lectures are not helpful for the midterm at all and there is no structure to this class. He never answered emails and I never really understood why I got the grade I did because he never gave feedback. His class was just really unpredictable and dull.

DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU DON'T LIKE RISKS. I took his class twice, the 1st time he handed out A's because he lost our essays. The 2nd time, let us take one mid-term and turn our final essay into our final as well. I sent him my essay before hand to get feed back and after altering my essay, I got a C overall (even with and he didnt answer my emails.

At the beginning of the year he laid everything out. 16 chapter book, which is the textbook, midterm, final, and one essay. Up until the midterm, you are supposed to read 2 chapters a week, plus a little more. That never happened and I did fine. He postponed the midterm 2 weeks and the essay (reduced size) became the final. Class was easy.

Professor Fujita is a very caring professor, he truly cares about student's well being. He's very understanding. Make sure to ask him what he wants in the exams, he will gladly tell you. He gives a study guide for the exams, ASK QUESTIONS. Lectures can get boring, but he really knows his stuff and you can tell he's passionate about teaching.

He is a nice professor but I guess for me this class wasnt what I thought it would be. I wish I took a different ASAM class but Im glad I got an A-. Read two books, a midterm, and final paper. He cancelled class a lot when I took him because of personal things but worked out for me.

Very laid back and friendly but sometimes would go off on tangents during lecture. Grade was based on midterm (short answer questions, he gave us 5 to study and picked three for the midterm), 5-7pg. final paper (+ proposal) and participation/attendance. Two books were assigned which weren't too difficult. Didn't know my grade until they were due.

Really nice and caring professor. Everyday is slight lecture and group discussions on each section but he normally rambles off into something else so we don't really cover the work. You don't need to read the book for the group discussion but need to for the essay/exams. 1 midterm, 1 final, and 1 essay . Easy A prof

He knows his stuff so don't try to lie on your research paper. This class is writing heavy, so I suggest taking a writing class or Eng 101 prior to taking this class because you have to be able to write fast and clearly. He will take off points if he cannot read your handwriting. Make sure you take notes during the movies, they're really helpful.

Professor Fujita-Rony's lectures lack in structure. He has you read the book (which is what the tests are based on), but his lectures don't match the material. He likes to go on tangents and talk about things related to what the material is but not the actual material. Midterm and final are both essays, and 5-7 page term paper.

He has unclear instructions for the midterm that's an in-class essay. Book is tedious to read (I have no idea which chapter we are on every time). There's no notes for the class (save for a few words that he writes on the board that doesn't help). Watched a lot of videos toward the end of the semester that are more than an hour each). Do not take.

I read the reviews and took the class. Big mistake! The midterm and final are in class essay. Very confusing study guide. One 5-8 pages term paper. Do not take the class if you do not have too. Grading criteria on tests were not clear :(

I took him for ASAM 190. It always felt comfortable to come to his classes, and the book that he assigned was worth reading. The movies he showed in class were good. If anything is unclear, just come to his office hour and you're fine!! I truly love him as a professor. Would definitely take him again if I have a chance.

He is a has a very relaxed way of teaching. If you like a class to have a note taking style, this class is not for you. Just listen and write down what seems important. Reading is essential pass this course. 2 quizzes and a group project.

The class consists of a research paper, a midterm, and a final. He gives a list of possible questions that the midterm/final's 2 essays are about. Gives a good review before the test. Really helpful if you go to his office hours. He is a really chill and reasonable guy and allowed our class to move the dates of our paper. Overall, would recommend.

Professor Fujita Rony is AWESOME. His lectures are more like stories, and I found them interesting. READ the book, and take notes in his class. His quizzes (worth as tests) are straightforward, if you answer the study guide. He will bend over backwards for you and offers extra credit! I recommend him! Easiest GE so far.
