First of all, all the tests are based on his lectures from class and the homework packets that he goes over in class. People that don't get an A in this class are either too lazy to go to class or DO NOT take notes. Easy A. Passed with a 105%. Plus he's hilarious too.

Dr Tran is the most cute teacher I have ever meet!! He is really funny, It may be a little hard to understand his accent, but as long you study his study guides for test is easy to get an A...I loved his lectures full of jokes!!!! Take him, he is a super nice teacher.

He is easy. You come to class, you get extra pts. He gives the hand out with many multiple questions and exam will have 90% of those questions, so you study the study guide, you'll pass the class with an A, no need to do a ton of extra credit he gives you.

No offense but he's the worst teacher I've had at EVC, he cared more about reminescing about his "good times" than teaching class. He's extremely boring and I recommend everyone to avoid him at all costs.

Co-taught class with Villarreal. Tran rambles a lot, goes off topic, and does not explain things very well. Heavy accent which is hard to understand. If another teacher teaches with Mr.V take that class over Tran/Mr. V

Thick accent, difficult to understand at times, but he repeats himself (because he's reiterating the important concepts that will be on the test). Extra credit opportunities, group presentation, takes attendance. Fun class & funny, helpful guy. You'll have to buy his book for $30.

really nice guy and very funny. alot of fun class participation. took ethnic studies with tran/washington. it might be hard to understand what he's saying, but the concepts for this class are pretty simple. easy class that requires note taking and some reading. very simple class if you put in a little effort to review/ study.

attendance is very important. 3 midterms very similar to study guides that he gives, book is helpful if you can't understand lectures. he is very unorganized, forgetful, and has a heavy accent so BE WARNED, though he is a very knowledgeable man. Easy B.

Nice man but poor instructor. His lectures are utterly incomprehensible and test question are both vague and confusing. The final exam had so many misspelling and type errors that makes it seem like it was thrown together during the drive to work. I'm an Asian and his Asian component lecture confused the heck out of me.
