Comment:

Easy, pay attention in class read through the definitions once before the test and you'll ace them. Don't read the book as she basically reads it in class and you'll get bored. She is a lot more open minded then other commenters make her seem(i.e. she was open to talking about psychedelic drugs as a form of therapy). This class is what you make it.

I thought this teacher was extremely easy but boring. It was extremely difficult to stay awake in her class,she shot down any comments and opinions made in the class. She wasn't very helpful. She read right out of the book which was pointless to attend the class.I suggest anyone wanting to take psych DO NOT take it with her, not the best choice.

She was rude, got mad sometimes when you asked questions. I admit the class was easy BUT really boring. Class was only once a week but it was the one class of the week I really didn't want to go to. If she were nicer, the class would be more enjoyable.

Purely opinion homework except the catch is the tests arent. Loves Freud and asian meditation methods that what i learned in 16weeks. If you actually need to take this class and learn psychology i suggest another teacher.

This teacher is friendly, but sticks to her rules which are understandable such as no cell phones or food in class. She has her own view points but she doesn't shoot anyone own for their own. If you're looking for an easy A take her class.I got B's on my tests one A on the final and I got an A in her class. It's memorization! that's it;)

By far the most unpleasant classroom experience I have had. She was unwilling to listen to or tolerate any opposing opinions, and actually may interrupt you while speaking. I didnt learn anything I didn't learn in psych 1. If you want an easy painfully boring class with a professor who doesn't care about the students, this is the way to go

Easy class to pass. Easy 1 page paper on a topic in the chapter due every week (each one 5 points, i dont even think she reads it). There are 2 tests & a final. She gives an outline for each of the chapters with key words. If you study from the outline you will pass the test, the tests are exactly whats on the outline, no surprise questions.

Lectures are straight out of the book, making it pointless to attend class, except to turn in busy-work "key idea" assignments due weekly. She doesn't list the test dates in the syllabus and she'll spring them on you the same day a paper is due with no remorse. Poor attitude, closed minded. I don't think she's a happy person. Avoid this class!

Torture. A lot of us dreaded coming to this class. Lectures straight from the book and is dry and monotone. Gets annoyed if students bring up counterpoints to what she is teaching. Most interesting part was her accounts of her social work and the cases she had. Tests are combined lecture and book. Got to study for that A. Book > Professor

SHE SUCKS!!!! So SO RUDE. She will give you a LOWER grade than you earn if you have any kind of opinion. She's got a real chip on her shoulder. She should probably do something else for a living!!! Avoid her at ALL COSTS if you want to have any faith in education. She's the WORST "professor" I've had at PCC hands down. What a shame!

She was only good if you were on her good side. Make an effort to seem interested and she will like you. As for tests, the 2nd one is the hardest but you should do fine if you study. I got an A. Make sure you do all key ideas and extra credit...easy points

she's a nice person. she loves her students, you can see that. i really enjoyed her class, but i have to tell you: if you also want a good grade DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! i'm a 4.0 student and her tests are incomprehensible! you can't study from the book, you can't study from notes. the tests are very hard and with no material to help!

Overall the class is pretty easy, although it is boring. most of the time she just lectures. 1 key idea each week (pick a quote from the book and write a good paragraph whether you agree or disagree with the idea), 2 mid terms, 1 final & 1 term paper which requires you to go to the museum of tolerance.

i decided to take the class because most people said you just had to read the book to get a good grade. even though she does kind of ignore your opinion, she has a lot of interesting examples in her lectures. the class wasn't really hard, but if you just put some effort into it you'll get an A (extra credit helps as well as not being tardy!)

If you like long boring lectures and being belittled, then this class is for you. However, you can't even sit in the last row and pretend to listen. SHE'LL PICK ON YOU!!! Her tests are long, especially the final and it's so easy to lose your train of thought in her class. If you're taking psychology for the first time, skip this professor...

Very rude. If your opinions aren't hers, she'll cut you off and shout "NO!" Completely unprofessional and she even gave me a lower grade than I earned. I got straight A's the whole class and she tells me I got a B- on the final, which gives me a B!? in the class... I called her back and she changed her story too... Fishy. I'll contest it. SKIP HER.

Comment:

Easy class to get an A in. Attendance is important. Even though I think her lectures are well prepared, I think she does not accept student's opinions unless they concur with hers. I was bored to death most of the time and other times, I felt sorry for the real critical thinkers in the class who were brave enough to suggest a different opinion.
