He kinda puts you to sleep in class. Every once in a while he'd pull off a decent joke though. Very sarcastic. He tends to make fun of you if you don't agree with him. Too bad. You get over it and it gives you something to talk about at lunch. This class has lots of good content though. Required reading is impossible. End of story.

His first time teaching the class. He obviously didn't have the curriculum together and repeated himself a lot. He's a great teacher. Hopefully he has it together next semester. I would like to take this class again from someone who knows what they want to do. I feel like I really missed out on what he could've taught me.

I think I took Medina for every class I could...OT History and Lit, Pentateuch, OT Prophets, HErm I, basically I had a Medina class every semester for two years. And you know why? The man is brillaint. He's currently working on his dissertation on the book of Isaiah and he's always willign to sit and chat about anything. He's got a bit of a dry and odd sense of humor but that just adds to the overall package. Plus, he's the only prof I knew who would show up in black denim jeans and a leather jacket.

Medina is not the flashiest teacher, but he knows his subject well and he is a great guy to sit down and talk with about his areas of expertise. He can be a little dry in class, but if the student wants to learn they will learn quite a bit.
