Dr. Kreinovich is one of the best professors I have had. He is so good at explaining the material that you won't need to ask for clarification on anything he teaches you. His tests are difficult but he allows handwritten notes on them. So if you show up and take notes, you'll be squared away! He's also got jokes for days!

He really went out of his way to help me when I took this class. He does an excellent job of making a dry subject interesting. He's also fairly humble, despite being a very bright person.

Not much to say, make sure you do the homework and fill up the study guides he lets you bring to the exams. More often than not the exam will be filled with either the same or similar problems from a previous semester. Very easy to get an A but also very easy to screw yourself and end up with something lower if you do bad on a test

Small homework assignments due every week, if you get bad grades on a couple you are fine however not turning in a couple will due you in. Homework is a large percentage of this class, larger than any of the exams. Absolutely no textbook required, but you must come for lecture and do his homework which is sometimes only posted a day in advance.

He gives a good lecture and tells great stories! Make sure you go to class EVERY DAY, because you'll miss a LOT if you don't; he walks you through every algorithm you need in great detail. There's a lot of homework, but each assignment is small, and they're very good practice. Take good notes, and you'll do well on the exams!

Kreinovich is perhaps the most organized CS professor. No surprises in the class: all the assignments and tests (other than pop quizzes) are posted well in advance with crystal-clear directions. Lectures very well and explains high-level concepts in an easy-to-understand way.

Dr. Kreinovich is one of the best professors I've ever had the pleasure of taking. He is hilarious & I love his jokes. He teaches with this enthusiasm that I haven't seen from any other professors. His grading is fair and the class is challenging but he will help you every step of the way, although he does give attitude sometimes, but he's awesome.

Great professor. His accent and quirky anecdotes of life in soviet russia bring a Yakov Smirnov style of humor to what would otherwise be a very boring class. Very intelligent and willing to help. He is careful to make sure the entire class is caught up when covering challenging concepts, which is invaluable.

Incredibly sophisticated professor. I explained everything in detail, the concept and necessary background to understand it. He also made far-fetched analogies that made the class analogies as well as some anecdotes. Nonetheless, I definitely recommend him.
