Wont go onto the next thing until everyone in the class feels confident working out the problems. Answers questions in detail and uses lots of examples. No midterm! Lots of little quizzes and the final. He made math so much fun. He has some awesome stories too!

One word- AMAZING! Super funny, witty, and knows how to teach! If you have issues he lets you know that it's okay to ask, and he breaks it down for you until you understand the problems. Very happy with my math class because of him. I'll be taking him again next semester and can't wait!

If you're looking for a professor that will go above and beyond for his students to learn, you've found him. Ive taken his physics and math classes. Professor Mayo is perhaps the most understanding and flexible professor Ive seen. He will literally do almost anything to help you understand what he is teaching, and not to mention his stories are A+.

Extremely helpful! Makes math entertaining and actually fun. Don't be misled by comments that say his class is easy (it is) but he is a BRILLIANT man who doesn't feel he has to constantly prove that to his students. (Which is refreshing, knowing some professors' egos.) Recommended!

Mr. Mayo is a wonderful professor. He explains the how's and why's of mathematics! I found that to be very beneficial, because I tend to analyze things. So, if you feel like you just can't grasp math .. at all .. take Mr. Mayo's class. He'll do everything he possibly can to help you and see that you pass!
