I took Sociology in High School and it was a hell of a lot more interesting then this class. It is basically a waste of time he doesnt care if you show up or not and i would actually recommend not showing up because the test questions come straight from the book and not at all from the lecture!! plus the test suck bc its 3 exams 25 questions each!

Very easy class. My advice, show up to get the sylabus and then never go to class unless it is to take the test. Lectures are a bore. Just read the chapters and take the tests. Easy A. If you do go to class the guy is pretty cool, hes a retired chicago cop so he has lots of good stories.

Dr. Silk is not the best teacher I have had thus far in my academic career. He can be funny at times but he fails to really spark interest in the minds of his students regarding to the subject of sociology. He does not give reviews for tests (multiple choice questions) and he requires a 5 page paper as well as an oral presentation on the paper.

Very easy instructor. Attandence is not required. But it will definitely help, because the test is based on lecture. Don't need the textbook at all. He cuts you a break on basically everything. Recommand to everyone. A grade is easy to earn.
