This is the second semester I've token Hakes, her lectures are boring LITERALLY BORING she does count attendance if you miss a quiz, you can definitely not retake it. Quizzes are done as group the only thing about Hakes, is that she is very FAIR. she will give the grade you deserve but overall she's chill, its only her boring lectures lol.

Mrs. Hakes class has been one of the easiest classes ever ever took. Class consists of some really easy quizzes and mid term and final which she gives a really reliable review for, get to watch movies over subject as well, so you're having fun and learning at the same time, very understanding if absent as well

One of the easiest classes I have taken. She gives about 6 quizzes, a midterm, a final, and a essay. Thats all you get graded on and its all easy. She really knows her stuff.

Quizzes are taken as a class which is super helpful. Midterm wasn't that difficult since she gives you a study guide and its up to you to study. She is a harsh grader on the writing assignments (you have a total of 2-3) but if you get a B on them, you should still get an A in the class. If you have an A in the class, you are exempt from the final!

All quizzes are taken as a class. Midterm is difficult but she gives a huge curve. I got an A so I was exempt from the final. 3 essays. We watched 2 movies and she made us cookies. She gets off topic so it takes a while to get through ONE SLIDE. She really doesn't teach. She can be rude at times. Honestly I didn't use the book once.

MOVIES! + All the quizzes were easy because they would be taken as a class. She would tell us about the quizzes ahead of time and it was the first thing we would do when we got there. BUT if you were late you wouldn't get the quiz at all. NO PHONES. if your phone rings she'll answer it on speaker,or read your texts out loud.

I would defiantly recommend you take her! Honesty all you have to do is show up. Only two exams given the whole semester but we would get quizzes after every chapter but they're taken as a class. Never have watched movies in college till this class lmao. Easy A literally just show up

For Federal government, quizzes are taken together with class, they're fairly easy. Everything is easy EXCEPT the Midterm. The Midterm is challenging but she curves your grade. There are a few essays and extra credit. Its a fun class, but she can surprise you with a quiz so attendance is important.

LOVE Mrs. Hake! Took her for Fed Govt and TX Govt. Strongly recommend. In class quizzes are as a group, if everyone studies, you will pass as a class. Grades midterm and final on a curve. Some essays, but they are not too long and she has clear expectations on everything. Respect her and she will take good care of you!

DO NOT TAKE IT!! All 13 or more Quizzes are done as a class, that's the only good thing,The midterm exam IS VERY DIFFICULT, the majority failed and no matter how hard you try her grading criteria is the worst you can have 30 A's, but because of the midterm you are screwed. Her lectures are boring and shes very opinion based.

I for one do not learn by reading and that is what this is class is consisted of mostly reading. Quizzes aren't too hard if you read the book her lectures are boring since she reads them off slides. Goes off topic a lot and spends majority of class time reading news posts. Very blunt about what she says also very opinionated. i do not recommend

Mrs. Hake is AMAZING!! She's funny and laid back. HARDLY GIVES ANY HOMEWORK. She posts notes on BB so you can print them and just highlight while she lectures. Quizzes are done as a group (entire class helps each other). She will help anyway she can. If you have an A in class, YOU DO NOT TAKE FINAL EXAM!! Will take her for Govt 2 FOR SURE :)

To be completely honest, I didn't learn much, but I enjoyed the class. She came off as very opininated in her teaching of government. I learned more about her views on social issues than actual government workings. However, if you don't have an interest in learning about government and just want an easy class for the semester, then this is it.

Mrs. Hake (rhymes with cake, do NOT pronounce her name wrong!) She's funny and laid back. Clearly knows a lot about government and is able to apply current events to cover historical topics. You will do at least 2 group projects. Quizzes are mostly done as a group (entire class helps each other). Hard to fail, she will help anyway she can.

She made this class fun and I ended up learning quite a lot from her. Quizzes are taken as a class, and they aren't too difficult. The midterm, on the other hand, was very hard, but she does curve the grades. She provides a study guide for the final, very easy. Take this class, it's very enjoyable, amazing instructor!

I took her in Summer 1 and she was usually kinda late to class. Quizzes are done as a class & she gives you about 13 or more. Every week we had a two page essay due on Mondays. She usually read off the powerpoints so the lectures were pretty dull. The midterm exam was really difficult, the majority failed. The final consists of ?'s from the quizzes
