Comment:

By far the best Professor I ever had. Dr. Snider's communication skills are superior to most. He will help you with any questions you may have. The grading was pretty strict sense he used a matlab program to grade tests (no room for any error). The textbook for complex analysis was co authored by him, so it is top notch reading.

Outstanding class, but you must get the answers on his takehome Final, MidTerm, and his "Diagnostic" tests to three decimal places of accuraccy. I learned a lot. He is the best professor in the EE department, his online class is fantastic.

Dave wrote the textbook for PDE's (buy it). For this class know the USFKAD sofware well! This is the hardest class that he taught. Know Dirichlet, Robin, and Neumann like Dave explains it. I was able to get a B, believe me this is hard.

Comment:

Dr. Snider, (prefers to call himself Dave) is one of the best professors that I've had in my life. The text book is co-authored by him, but he might as well have written the book himself. He is American born, so he speaks perfect English, and is able to use multiple examples to explain his ideas. Know MATLAB well for this course!

He is a cool professor, I only met him 3 times due to taking him online, but it was still fun. Easy A for a class, he GIVES you the exams before-hand to study and changes a few problems but whatever... He is so easy and I NEVER studied except for about 15 minutes before an exam and I got a 92 percent here. Easy class, I recommend it to bring up GPA

This guy had to of been a hoppy stoner back in the day. He's mad cool, and never really came to class, but I had him for a BS class, so he always made the TA go and teach. He's funny and hell tell you some funny ass stories to waste time in class. Plus you can tell this guy really loves to teach.

Professor Snider(Dave) is the best professor I have ever had. He could explain PDE's to an 8 year old. And lets be honest, if you can't explain something to an 8 year old then you really don't understand what your talking about.

Dave is a really nice prof. Do not miss his courses. He is a teacher who can come out with great things starting from simple mathematics. Exams lengthy but if you are smart you will do quite good.You can see other dimensions for math from his classes.

EASY... I never passed algebra and I passed Partial Differential Equations and Complex Analysis with A's... Or maybe Snider just knows how to explain it. Yes, the cameras are ON!! Do not cheat in his class he will pull teeth to have you expelled...

I've had him for 4 classes. He's the epitome of what a good instructor should be---knows the material and goes out of his way to help you understand it. He's also friendly and respects the students.

I had Dave in 1975 and graduated from USF with a PhD in 1983. He was one of the best professors in applied math and still maintains that skill level.
