Comment:

Alan Cronauer was an excellent teacher and very nice person, but the way he taught was not my favorite. My whole grade in Accounting 2 was based on 5 true/false quizzes. I did not feel that I learned as much as I could have if there had been some homework. If you are a good test taker, get this professor, but not otherwise!

Comment:

He gives 4 exams and one final exam which are the only things that counts towards your grade. He also gives extra credit. ( take advantage of the extra credit) ( go on YouTube and look up each chapter , it's a lady who lecture each chapter .Not much interaction unless you have to ask a question . Not a horrible teacher but also not the greatest !

Terrible teacher and the tests were not an accurate representation of what was in the textbook. You can read the book and the answers on the test are the complete opposite. Worst decision I've made in my college career was taking an online class with him. This was my sixth online class and the first one I didn't get credit for.

Terrible for an online class. Nothing is ever easy and he is not very specific. When you have a question he is either sarcastic or tells you to read it again and again. Did not like him.

Most of the posts aren't very recent on here, but Professor Cronauer is lacking in many aspects. I am taking Accounting II online with him this semester and I find him to be dry and sarcastic. His directions are also vague. If you are teaching yourself Accounting online don't bother taking his class unless you have too!

Comment:

One of the best professors that I had at HCCC. His notes and explanations are clear. Tests and projects are easy. He makes the class fun and enjoyable. Very knowledgeable. He gets to know his students on a personal level. He's hilarious, especially with his sarcastic jokes and comments. I HIGHLY recommend this teacher. He's great!

I took his class last fall year, decided to write a review. Awesome teacher, sarcastic humour that makes the class a lot fun. His notes are very good and as long as you study them and the book, you will do well in his class.

Did not give clear instructions on any test. He took off points for not showing work even though the answers were correct. No where in the instructions did he say to show all work. Very condescending tone in his responses.

You basically are teaching yourself corporate finance out of a semi-confusing, hard to read textbook and taking exams that often don't match what you learned in the book. Expect no interaction with other classmates or this professor. Horrible online experience, and I have taken 12 other online classes.

Have taken online accounting & corporate finance from this professor. Courses consist of 4 exams & a final. Very easy online course if you are able to teach yourself accounting, if not i don't recommend it.

I enjoy taking online classes, however, I wasnt happy with this class that I took with him. He barely teaches, the tests are harder than the book work, half the time tests took 2 weeks to get our grades sometimes not even til the day of the next test, and he didn't seem as helpful as I'd expect a teacher to be for an online class.

What a great fun guy. Loves to poke you with that stick of his, but he's just playing to the jazz in his own head, know whut i'm sayin? Takes the whole class to Denny's at the end of the semester and his final is soooo sweet. I love this guy. CLONE HIM HCCC!!!!

He doesn't teach, you're just expected to know what to do. He summarizes the chapter, but doesn't explain anything. Feedback is all but timely, which makes it hard to follow the material. He needs to devote more time to his online students, I get the feeling he teaches better in person. let's hope!!

Like someone else said, he doesn't really teach. He gives the assignments and expects you to know what to do. In his defense, he does give pretty good feedback when people have questions. All in all, a fairly difficult course that will take up a fair amount of time to keep up with.
