Comment:
Matrix and Linear. Pretty nice guy. Assigns lots of homework. Not mandatory, but that's where test questions are from. First two tests were relatively easy. Third test harder was harder. Final was very hard. The only way to be prepared for the test is to do ALL of the HW.

You will have to study the material on your own. However, the professor lets you use a cheat sheet on his tests. You can write anything you want on this sheet, even examples from the book. Just make sure you understand everything you wrote on this sheet because on the test you will not have much time to figure things out.

He's tough. This class is no 'Easy A' by any means. When lecturing he skips many steps, so if you want his lectures to be worthwhile you better ACTUALLY READ the sections BEFORE coming to class. His tests are challenging, only 5 questions in 50 minutes, so it's very easy to do poorly on a test. He is however very eager to explain to you.

Honors class. Actively encourages questions and feedback in order to respond to student's confusion and needs. Will take the take to go over concepts again in class until understood. Knows how to explain things in multiple ways and develops conceptual understanding.

Comment:
This professor does not explain the material good in the class. He's writing very fast and don't explain what he is writing and why. So, going to his lectures is absolutely useless. If you don't think that you can handle the material of this class on your own, do not take this professor.

Puts really hard problems on exams. Grades fair. Skips a TON of steps when lecturing. Then when you ask him where he got a certain value, he still won't do the steps because he assumes you should know it. Really hard exams.

There are 3 tests plus a final exam (includes cheat sheet). He's a good teacher but the subject is difficult, requiring ALOT of strength in prereqs and ALOT of HW practice. You simply can't pass this class by doing the bare minimum.

I recently took him for differential Equations and he was far one of the worse professors I have ever had. He expects you to remember all of your prerequisite knowledge and he refuses to go over any of it, not to mention the lack of examples. I have a new professor now who actually teaches and does examples and I am excelling in the course. BEWARE

3 tests plus a final exam. for each test u can use one side of the paper as your cheat sheet and for the final u can use both sides. this is a hard class so dont take it lightly. his handwriting gets better as the semester goes on. he is a good teacher and a decent grader.

Absolutely stellar. He expects a lot of work from his students, but he'll do anything to help. He encourages students to interrupt his lectures with questions and adjusts the structure of the class to best serve the class. Tests often cover quite a bit of diverse material, but he does everything within his power to prepare everyone. Take him!

This professor teaches very clearly and his class never misses a beat from the textbook. While the tremendous load of homework for BVP's can be intimidating, he is always in his office to help you with anything, and his exams come DIRECTLY from homework. You are allowed a cheat sheet on exams and he drops lowest for final. WIN!

Katsevich is a solid teacher, he teaches so you understand and he grades fairly. 4 tests and 1 final are all you get but the tests Q's come straight from the book. Bad news, he gives ALOT of problems. if he gives you probs 1-10 for ex, do problem 5&6 and copy them down on your formula sheet(u get one), theres a good chance those r on the test.

GREAT PROFESSOR. 4 tests plus 1 final worth 2 test grades. All tests come from HW assignments so DO ALL OF THEM! DO NOT PROCRASTINATE ON THE HW BECAUSE YOU WILL GET BEHIND. The tests questions came directly from the HW assignments. Allows formula sheets during tests. Fair grader and gives you points for trying. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!

A great professor who teaches straightforward with clarity. Teaches directly from the book. This class is not very difficult as people make it out to be, you just have to know your Calc2, algebra, and the methods in the course. He doesn't curve and his grading is kind of "eggs in one basket", but tests are fair in difficulty. Just study well.

Good professor. Just do the homework. Quizzes are easy and directly from the book. Tests are reasonable and based on assigned problems. Go to class so you can put a check by your name at the end of class.

Hard, but fair. Teaches directly from book, but can anwser questions with ease from students. Cares about students learning. Tests were difficult, seemed more about testing calc and algebra tricks than diff E q. Nails on partial credit for careless errors. Yet id still take again, Taught material very well and i'll retain it

haha he does stand directly in front of the board, but he asks if there are any questions after. u just gotta copy the board after paying attention. he might not be the best teacher, but he really does try to help if he sees u trying to learn. quizzes and tests are straight from HW and he is an easy grader. i got an A just by doing the odds in HW.

Lectures come directly from book, but the book is probably easier to understand. Stands directly in front of problem as he works it out without any input from the class. 3 exams, not too difficult, 5 quizzes, way too difficult and 1 comprehensive final . go to class bc attendance helps in the end. nice guy, but very challenging professor

Difficult teacher. Teaches straight from the book(his lecture notes are literally pages from the book) Grading scale is 3 tests(half the class never finished on time)5 quizzes(unnecessarily difficult) and a final. If you mess up one test your grade is equally messed up.Hes a really nice guy but I wouldn't recommend unless you really know your stuff
