Dr. Arnold is the professor who will hold your hand the entire semester. She has amazing lecture notes but she assigns TOO MUCH HMWK. But she also extends deadlines for them every single time you ask. She allows corrections on exams partially and is very sweet and friendly. She really is looking out for you always!

Arnold really cares about your understanding of Calc I and will make time to help you understand. She lectures and writes on a tablet. She doesn't like you to check your phone. Her tests are somewhat challenging but gives plenty of extra credit at the end (test corrections and participation). She assigns a bit of hw but does completion credit.

Dr. Arnold was a great person and teacher. The homework load was a lot but if she saw that you attempted all of them she gave you full credit. She gave extra credit on every test we had which helped my grade a lot. I am glad I took AP CALC AB in HS because I had learned the stuff before but this class was still a struggle.

Calculus is already hard, especially at UGA, but Ms. Arnold made it a bit more enjoyable. She really cared about the students and tried her hardest to make sure that the material was understood. She even offers extra credit and test corrections, God bless. Only con was that she assigned a lot of homework sets on webwork. Overall great teacher!

Your grade is reflected by the work you put in. In my opinion, she assigned a lot of hw; she could make some optional and some mandatory. I felt overwhelmed by the amount she would assign. She offers bonus points for test corrections. Test themselves pretty straightforward. I think she was a bit snarky as a teacher, but she cares for her students.

Her notes were very clear and organized. I took calculus in high school, and there were some concepts that I didn't understand and she was able to help with those. She assigned weekly homework on webwork, but it wasn't that bad and they also help as practice for the tests. Tests were free response and not too hard. Overall, she's a great professor!

Great professor! She is very willing to help students during office hours, and she answered all of my questions. She is nice and cares about the students. While the course material is hard, she provides as much extra help as students need. Also, the homeworks and worksheets allow the class to stay on track. I recommend the math tutoring in Boyd.

Took calculus in high school, and while the class was the same, I found myself confused. The way she explains things can be difficult to understand. All tests are free response and she will take off lots of points for not showing every step. That being said she is very relaxed when it comes to turning in homework. Grade is reflected by work put in

If you have to take pre-calc, take Professor Arnold online!! She posts great lecture videos to prepare you for specific homework problems, and she's very helpful during the blackboard sessions where she answers questions and works out problems. Very sweet woman, cares about her students. Drops lowest HW and quiz grades and gives extra credit.

She teaches the course directly out of the textbook which I personally disliked. The homework is not for a grade, but you definitely won't do well without doing it. It is a very difficult course and I wouldn't say she's the best professor because she's unorganized. However, she makes up for this with lenient extra credit on tests.

I took MATH 1113 (Pre-calculus) through eCore as a student at CCGA. Professor Arnold was always prompt when responding to questions/concerns and was active on the discussion boards with those who had questions.

TAKE HER!!! Calc 2250 is hard in general, but she does a good job starting from the basics for those who haven't had calc. She gives extra credit (5-10) points and test corrections. Her notes are neat and posted online. Very friendly, helpful, and easy to understand. Her tests are also not that hard as long as you do the webwork/hw.

Overall, Arnold is a solid professor. She did miss a few times but made up for it with webinars. She was late a lot which was kinda annoying. She does give extra credit and is very willing to work with you to see you do well. She cares about her students, and I felt well prepared for the final. Calc is such a hard subject and she makes it bearable.

I spent more time, mind & health than any other class in my two and a half year college career just to end up the first ever non-A grade. But I believe she made math much more doable than it should have been. She's very helpful during the study halls. So if you can spare time for weekly sessions (a must), definitely give her online class a try

Comment:
As a professor it was hard to learn because she lectured so little. Most of the class time was spent working on hw/worksheets. Students could ask her questions, but it was inefficient and harder to learn. She was also late or absent frequently. Despite these flaws, she is a lenient grader and gives bonus points on tests.

The online course was surprisingly not too hard. She has tons of lecture videos and example problems. You can attempt the HW multiple times, the quizzes are open-note, two tests are proctored and two tests are open-note. She gave a thorough study guide for the final and it ended up being very similar. As long as you put in work, an A is easy!

Dr. Arnold is probably one of the best Calc I professors at UGA. She gives 3 tests and a final. If you do all of the online homework, you should do well on the tests. She's very willing to work with you and cares about her students' performance. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a solid Calc I background.

Arnold is such an amazing professor. She goes above and beyond to help her students. She even extends homework if the class feels like they need more time. Her quizzes are easy to get a good grade on. The 1st test is easy but next 2 are harder. I absolutely hate math and was still able to get an A. Go to office hours if you need more help. TAKE HER

If you have to take precalculus at UGA, take it ONLINE with Arnold! The exams are easier than they would be in another class. 4 exams total and a cumulative final. 2 exams are online, open note; the other 3 exams are proctored. She replaces your lowest proctored exam with the score of your final. Drops 4 HW and 4 Quizzes and bumps up grades!

Very good professor. There is a lot of homework that can sometimes be tricky. Tests are quite hard, but if you know how to do everything she goes over then you should get at least a B.
