Amandah is a full of knowledge and a very smart woman. she is helpful when you ask her however she comes off strong and makes it seem like she is out there to get you. she uses the wrong word choices and comes off rude. she uses her knowledge and power in the wrong way which is unfortunate because otherwise she would be a wonderful instructor.

Comment:
She is a non specific unorganized pediatric instructor. I work my butt off in every class and to my dismay it was not enough for her. She eased up on our class only because of the negative feedback from a previous semester who also managed to get her kicked out of Children's hospital. Go to another school or fight to not have her as an instructor.

Comment:
I would strongly suggest future nursing students to chose some other school because of Amandah. She is extremely unorganized and has very limited teaching skills. Can be very unprofessional and rude that creates a dreaded class environment. She constantly picks on students and yells at you in front of the patients.

Amandah is a hard working individual. She is passionate about what she does and is a very smart lady.l. She is very knowledgable in what she does. However, she can be confusing and unclear with what she wants and makes you re-do assignments because of her high expectations. It was frustrsting and stressful. work hard and you will do well.

Amandah is knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She "pushes"you to learn more and grow only because she genuinely cares about your career. Although some students found assignments too difficult, she prepares assignments that will help you to critically think like an RN and be prepared for when you graduate. If you work hard, you'll do great.

Amandah is knowledgeable and wants her students to learn/grow as much as they can -given such a short period.Although some students may have found her class too difficult, honestly,if you work hard, apply your critical thinking skills, you'll do just fine. I've learned that she genuinely cares about our careers and only wants the best for us.

Amandah is a very well educated instructor. She is enthusiastic about what she teaches and you can tell her passion for the course is intense. Amandah just wants to see all her students work hard and she is more than willing to share her knowledge. If you don't work at all, or don't show any effort then you will not succeed in her course.

Amandah is an extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic Pediatric instructor - with a sense of humor! She is reasonably tough and if you put in the time to study, her courses and expectations are fair game. You will learn an abundance about Peds nursing from Amandah and she will prepare you to be a successful RN!!

This instructor has a lot of knowledge. Her assignments and responses to assignments have allowed me to expand my own knowledge, think more critically, and look at nursing from a whole new perspective. Her debriefing/journals were most helpful in my learning process. If you work hard, (as you should in any class) you will succeed!

Disorganized and inconsistent with teaching and marking. Teaches a lot of interesting material re peds but wasn't really helpful with what you needed to know for the curriculum. Goes off-topic a lot and starts taking about her personal life. Can be a bit unprofessional at times and talks about how other's teaching styles are inferior

For those that don't understand her, find her difficult. She is smart and she expects a lot based on what year of nursing she is teaching, but given her situation I would expect the same. The only negative is that she does send A LOT of emails, but at least no one can say she didn't inform them about something.

This teacher seems to try and help, but is very disorganized and aggressive. Sends sometimes 10 emails a day that are several paragraphs long and do not make sense. She is very intelligent, but seems to get lost in her own train of thought because she is so smart and her thoughts go faster then she can speak...

I feel she wanted us to keep up the level of quality required for proper nursing care. With that said as an instructor she is confusing, especially in her assignment descriptions and I found her to be intimidating and in your face. She is great with clients, like so experienced and talented but as an instructor she can sometimes be a nightmare.

Extremely unorganized. Can be helpful at times but for the most part just confuses you because she can talk forever. Get ready for multiple pages of "feedback" on your assignments. I would have enjoyed my peds rotation a lot more if she was not the instructor because 3F is a great unit!
